Summary: We have been using this projector for the last year for our meetings in our lab at our university, and it is very easy to use (just plug and play). We have had no problems with it so far, and now I am thinking of buying one for my personal use at home it is so good!
Summary: First and foremost, I purchased this as a manufacturer refurbished unit from wonderful seller matt23642 to replace my older Sanyo PLC 9000NA when the bulb blew. To replace the Sanyo bulb was almost as much as the BenQ. The BenQ is Awesome and 1000 lumens brighter than the Sanyo! I am using it to project an HD image 10ft diagonal on screen material I purchased from awesome seller b-adeals, now seller b-a.
Summary: Personal Experience Just wanted to add some left out info. I am projecting on a screen that is 9ft 4in x 4ft 3in at a distance of 18ft producing a 120in or 10ft picture. The screen is theater grade screen material also purchased on e_ay. It lets the projector do its thing right out of the box! I did not have to adjust anything other than the projector to screen orientation, which was front/ceiling setting. The projector is mounted upside down on a ceiling mount.
Summary: Personal Experience Back with my updated review with the HDMI cable. WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW!!!! All I can say is Wow! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! Did I say, "WOW!" Problems Again the only problem or disappointment if you will, is the lack of a vertical lens shift.
Summary: Personal Experience I bought this as a manufacturer refurbished unit from a reputable seller on e_ay. I researched it on the net and all had pictures of it but only 2 had actual video of it performing. I was blown away by its smaller size and its brightness when I hooked it up! My boys primarily play their Xbox 360 on it and we'll watch movies on it from time to time. It is really quiet and its brightness, even with the lamp set to eco mode is incredible.
Summary: I bought this projector I wanted a quality high lumens 3d-ready projector without having to shell a thousand or more dollars to get one. What I like most is the clarity even in a well lit room. there isn't really anything that I dislike about the projector, but if I had to pick something it would be the fact that the remote doesn't have an aspect button, so in order the change/set the aspect you need to use the menu button and go into the settings I don't really have...
Summary: I am a tech newb but I really needed an affordable, portable projector that would have the best resolution I could afford in the $500 to $800 range. I like this very, very much-- color is clear, bright but tends towards cool hues -- I don't think that would be a problem for most people. Definitely easy set up.
Summary: As stated, I have only used this 3 times each without a screen only against the house with light yellow siding and the picture was still great. I can image who it will look once I order the screen. Well worth the money.
Summary: I displayed a white background in a well lit room and was amazed at how well you could see the details. We use this projector to display backgound videos ,pics and lyrics for worship in a church. Very pleased!
