Summary: Not a bad projector. ;) I've been using mine for over 2 years and it's still going well! 3d ready doesn't mean it will play 3d blurays though!!!! It's not a true 3d projector so is not recognized by 3d bluray players! :( I'm still enjoying Blurays and dvds with it though!;) I'm using a Sony home theatre system with it and my 3d bluray drive has 2d to 3d conversion inbuilt so it gives a 3d look to the movies.;)Viewing movies from PC and games looks nice threw it.
Summary: Having the DLP close to the screen gives more flexibility for presentations. The DLP is adjustable for correcting keystoning. It is bright enough that the room light only needs to be dimmed a little.
Summary: So far I am very pleased with this (only had two weeks). I was looking for a short throw projector that would work with my fios cable box for HD as well as my laptop. So far both work well and have a nice picture. For the money this is really great (alternatives are much more expensive, especially in short throw) Downsides so far: the remote is pretty weak and keystone adjustment is limited (although its there).
Summary: Have it inverted and hanging under a home made mount using metal strips from Home Depot. Hangs 2 feet from a 9 foot ceiling and 6.5 feet away from a golf projector screen 7x9(h) feet. Very good pictures that can be enhanced. Projector operated by a remote. HDMI cable connected to a Windows 7 PC. Place hitting mat mounted on a 3x4 feet rubber mat x2 on a 1/4 inch plywood bottom ( mat rest on wood) 7.5 feet from screen.
Summary: Personal Experience I think this projector would be a pretty good all-purpose projector. We have it in our setup for classroom use and it’s a very well built projector. The colors are quite vibrant and it’s extremely sharp. It seems that BenQ did well with this small projector, because in the past experiences we’ve had, due to small room constraints, with short throw projectors we weren’t able to get a unit with evenly distributed image quality, sharpness, and...
Summary: Bought this projector to replace a steam driven projector that was twice the size of this one! The output display is crisp and has a 3D option (I think additional equipment is required). Works well in close proximity to a wall so is well suited for what I do (traveling around and teaching first aid) as some rooms have limited space The USB port on the back allows you to view images but not run powerpoint off a USB stick.. shame.. would have saved carting a laptop around!
