Excerpt: at first i used the component input for video playback. The quality was horrible dark scenes seem to blend together, the bright scenes looked ok. I could not adjust color. Tried adjusting brightness and contrast which did not help much. I was going to return it til i tried the same video on HDMI what a difference it made the colors and shadows were spot on dark and bright scenes looked wonderful. the projector is pretty bright does great in a well lit room.
Summary: The picture quality is amazing compared to our old Epson VGA projector.. It is very bright! The picture is not effected much in the daylight. It pretty much looks like an lcd tv. When I first used it all the whites appeared overpowering and even silver, but changing the color mode from dynamic to theater fixed this. One thing I do not like about this projector is that the Audio out connections are very limited.
Summary: For the price and weight and convenience I do like it . If the resolution was 1200 x 1600 it would have been perfect but I was aware that XGA projectors do not have that high native resolution. I am a college student on a budget and do recommended the product. However, it you have extra 200 bucks do go for a higher resolution product so that you can truly appreciate HD content.
Summary: The firmware need a LOT of work!!! Don't expect any of the features to work the same as any other projector. Other reviewer call it buggy, I call it unusable. Every time I turn on the projectors they display a message that the lamps are past there lifecycle, but they have less than 5 hours on them. If you don't press ENTER when the lamp life message is displayed the projectors lockup requiring a power cycle to reset.
