Summary: I purchased a projector for Benq and when technique requested assistance they were unresponsive. I feel Benq simply takes the money and run. I am done with this company and their lack of interest after taking my money.
Summary: Remarkable in its sharpness and bright image. I tested this with a blu-ray disk and it was up to the task. The 12' (diagonal) image on my white wall was as crisp as could be, rivaling the 60" image on my flat-screen LG TV. The only difference is that the LG does not improve notably with the room being darkened. Luckily at night darkening the room is easy, and even in regular light the BenQ is watchable.
Summary: Personal Experience I picked this up as a recert with full warranty for $335CDN reg price was $799 so I can not complain about that. I use this projector mainly on a computer & Blu ray & Xbox360 & so far everything seems good with the unit. I had to turn it to ecomode to reduce the light output because OMG this thing can get very bright.
Summary: Would I tell a friend to get this yes for sure. if you need a projector where light control can not happen then a projector like this is for you because on full or half power light really does not effect this unit very much.
Pros: Picked this unit up from Memory Express about 2 days ago & all I can say is holy batman this thing can go bright if you need it to. Before I played with the settings the colors were very bright & amped up to much but once I turned it to cin mode & smarteco mode with brilliant color on & set up the gains & offsets settings it is pretty much picture perfect in movies & looks even better when gaming on it. If I could & had the extra room I would take this projector past ...
Cons: out of box the colors are way over done & it is extremely bright but at 3500 Lumins light output you can not blame the projector for that.
