Summary: Holllllyyyyy crap. This projector is so awesome. My last china brand projector died on me and i paid twice as much for that one. On my last projector you could even see the image if a night light was lit. On this benq projecror all the lights can stay on and sunlight. The image is very viewable. Love the short throw feature. Resolution is suprising comprable the my hd tv. For this price you cant beat this purchase!
Summary: I give it one star because none is not an option. Setup instructions not helpful. Once I got it on, the display had vertical white lines every 1/4". Could not find a troubleshoot suggestion. Returned.
Summary: thanks to this guy i have the biggest TV in college. worked great out of box, nothing really to set up. i have it projecting onto a cloth painters drop cloth pinned to the wall and looks good. would look better if it was white, but no complaints cause the projector adjusts picture to certain colored backgrounds including green and blue. idk about the speakers, i have it hooked up to a sound bar, but they do work.
Summary: I use this in my classroom. The short throw is nice, as I place it about 3-4 ft from the screen and get the same size image as if it were 8 -10 ft away. The projector produces a nice, bright clear, picture and I don't always need to close the blinds or shades on the windows. Fan noise is minimal, and the projector speakers are ok, but I prefer using my plug in ones. The basic operations of the projector have been easy to figure out.
Summary: I've owned several projectors and I've found this BenQ to be a great deal because it has a fantastic picture and offers some nice features in a small package. Great for your home theater or the office.
Summary: This projector was great when I first got it. The lamps are very expensive to buy as well, because the lamp life isn't so great. It over heats really fast. Not for excessive use, obviously. I learned the hard way. Barely use it, or attach a fan so the projector can stay cooler and last longer but it doesn't hurt to buy an extra lamp. It's very bright and doesn't have to be that far to do a big picture. It was great until my lamp died.
Summary: I got this projetor to use it with my VIP 3D Theater. Let me tell you something guys! AMAZING...!!! With 5000:1 contrast ratio and 2500 lummens. You can't go wrong... even using this as an entry level projector. The projector is a little bit heavyer than my 3 previous 3LCD projectors from Epson.(Powerlite S1, Powerlite S4, and Powerlite s6+). I've never had a DLP projector before, so im not sure is the Screen Door Effect is present on all projectors. This one has it.
Summary: Got this item very fast but it took some time to set up because of the type of lens on this unit. I had to move my overhead hook up six feet closer to the screen then the last projector. When I first set it up on a 110 inch screen it showed up covering the whole wall about 14 feet wide and 6 feet high boy was I ever surprised. After a few adjustment it was great and I'm very pleased with the picture.
