The PointDraw pen on the MP 780 ST features a button that works the same as the “left” button on a mouse, and allows users to perform the same functions as it would be on a mouse. The pen also lets users doodle up to 8m away from the projected surface. The pen system supports various drawing options (different pen types, four ink colors, various line thicknesses), table and chart capability, shape selections, fun screen scenarios, and numerous widgets. The MP780 ST’s has a projection range of 48 inch to 300 inch diagonal, an 0.5:1 throw ratio (projects a 95” image from 1m) and features an integrated USB reader for PC-less projection, remote desktop function, built-in 10W x 2 speakers, connectivity options such as HDMI v1.3, composite, S-Video, D-Sub, USB, microphone, L/R audio, stereo mini jack, RJ45, and RS232. The projector also supports 3D stereoscopic ability, includes a filter-free DLP technology for optimized colors, bold images, and detail without color decay, and one-cable LAN control and display for product monitoring. The MP780 ST retails for $2,299.00 from June 2010.
