Summary: Personal Experience with around 60 of them installed at a location i have taken over managing i have found them to have some upsides and downsides the outer construction is good but there are other issues with the build quality. also there seems to be some issues in firmware and what ever you do dont leave the auto key stone turned on......
Summary: Comments about BenQ Mainstream MP626 Multimedia Projector: I bought this projector because I wanted to get a projector for PC and gaming use, and was recommended to get this one. I didn't want one for HD viewing as I already have a really nice 52 inch Sony, so I opted for this. It's a really nice projector I must say. It would have cost the same as buying a really nice IPS panel display. The setup took literally a few minutes.
Pros: Easy To Setup, Easy to use, Great picture quality, Reliable Performance
Summary: Personal Experience This projector does a pretty good job, but not great with movies. That I've seen, it can't really handle blacks and there is little ability to fine tune color and sharpness. Only certain inputs will allow for certain adjustments. Fine tuning most video is difficult if not impossible. You really have to adjust the presets on the fly for each input. For the money, it will due. I will probably invest another 200 for my next pj.
Summary: First, the name of the unit is incorrect. The MP626 is a 2700 Lumen projector. The quality of the unit is spot on. Its easy to install and the menu is easily navigated. Runs really quietly. Picture quality and color fidelity is good through VGA port. Things I dont like: You can't go to the menu unless you have a device plugged in (i.e. a computer) so you can't make any adjustments until then.
Summary: Recently my boss decided to buy a new projector for my classroom as the old one had continually been breaking down and seemed to require a high maintenance cost. She replaced the old projector with this new BenQ MP626. Our last projector was an LCD and towards the end the tech guys said it was suffering from color decay, something to do with the motherboard, I’m not sure.. Either way the new MP626 is brilliant and great to work with.
Summary: Personal Experience After over a month of continuous use I can say that this was a great purchase. It is used in a conference room with a large window. I project on a screen that's just over 150 inches, and you can see clearly even without the blinds drawn. I show video clips (usually with the blinds drawn) as well as powerpoint presentations. The image and text quality are sharp and crisp.
Excerpt: Bought this projector for the office and I got to say it was a great choice and investment for the conference room. For the price level of this projector this was what the sales man at Best Buy recommended for me. At first I was worried that the brightness on this projector would not be enough because he told me it only had 2,500 lumens while others had 3,000 or 4,000, I was taking a risk because I didn’t want to spend the extra dollars.
Pros: Easy to Use, very bright, great for presentations and DVD/TV
Excerpt: I'm a high school science teacher and I try to include a lot of video, generally short introductions and discovery channel type stuff. I've had a mixed run with school bought projectors in the past, so this time I wanted to get my own budget and decide on the projector myself. With budget in hand I did my research and ended up with the MP626. It's really a great projector, especially for this price.
Pros: Great picture, very mobile, easy to set up, USB connectivity, HDMI
