Summary: I bought this projector some time ago. It worked great for the first few months then it started to show a thick white line down the center of the picture. Never bothered to try to get it fixed. Note that the picture isn't all that bright so you will have to be in a room with dim to no light for the best results. It can use a usb stick so that was great. The picture was sharp and clear and it's ability to correct the projection for wall colour was good.
Summary: This product the BenQ Joybee GP1 did everything you they said it would. Problem is the seller I got it from obviously did not. I coach youth sports and got this to go over game footage with my players. It worked really well for about two months, then began washing out. I contacted the local electronics place and they stated the bulb was going out. Wow. I spent nearly $400 to save on buying a new one. I'll most likely never do that again.
Summary: After having purchased a "pico projector" as a birthday gift to myself and returning it the following day, I ordered this projector. I don't own a movie screen and actually made something which borders on useful out of some wood, a large which bed sheet and a staple gun. I used this projector for nearly a year and have used it for everything from watching films to playing video games. There is some good, some bad and some ugly.
Summary: Nice European white color plastic finish, good build quality, compact and portable, easy to setup and use. I won't use this unit in day time, not bright enough, you have to close the blinds and turn off the lights and make the room pretty dark to see the projecting images.
Summary: Bought this for size, review and family gatherings. Know that there is a lot I need to learn but the time I used it I got good reviews from folks watching. Felt it was better that buying one with an expensive bulb. I like it.
Summary: Great little projector. color isn't as flawless as something bigger or more expensive and the speakers aren't the loudest, but it is pretty good for what it is - an affordable, portable projector.
Summary: I purchased this projector because of it's size and fun factor. It's a really cool idea. However, in reality, I didn't find the unit to be bright enough. If all you desire is tv sized images in a nicely darkened room, then it was bright enough. If you desire over 55 inch images in a poorly dimmed room, then it's not adequate. I wanted to make a slide show at a wedding. I thought it would be awesome to set a projector on a tripod and project at a portable screen.
Summary: I bought this to use for presentations and as a 'monitor' on my mac mini. Finally got around to hooking it up, used it for about 40 or 50 hours and the lamp died. May just be a fluke, but that was my experience. Out of warranty (my fault for waiting). Resolution was decent, light quality pretty good, setup very easy.
Summary: It seems to be exactly what is promised - lightweight, user friendly and easy to transport. The only flaw I've found thus far is that only the projector is easy to transport. The carrying case (if you can call it that as it has no straps or handles) only has room for the projector. You must purchase another case for the cords, remote, user manual and user CD.
