Summary: Sweet little projector - very convenient form factor and use. Only downside is that the light output is not very bright, but that was expected with this technology and grade of projector. Best for travel, otherwise use the office projector.
Summary: Personal Experience I purchased two of these for myself an my parents. For the price of 342.60$ each I can't complain!I use mine mainly for watching movies, while my wife uses it at school hooked to her iphone/ipod for video/picture presentations. She says it's more than adequate. I had mine connected to a Dell desk top with a 30 pin connector, running linux mint 17 and xbmc media software and had no problems with it.Now I run it through a Samsung netbook with windows 7 and...
Summary: Personal Experience It worked perfect for me untill a major problem showed up Problems After less than 100 hours of usage, the image that l pojected remains permanently burnt in subsequent images that l try to project. I tried to contact benq with several email messages to ask for help or input with this defect, however they do not provide information on this problem or how,and possibly where, it can be fixed.
Summary: I've had my Joybee for a few years now, so I should probably write a high mileage review. I bought my GP1 back in 2010 just before deployment. This little projector performed admirably. The LED lamps are a bit on the dim side, but not too dim to stop us from setting up a 100 inch projector screen outside and watching movies on it at night. This little guy weathered dust storms, intense heat, and bumpy rides and never stopped working.
Summary: I bought this projector some time ago. It worked great for the first few months then it started to show a thick white line down the center of the picture. Never bothered to try to get it fixed. Note that the picture isn't all that bright so you will have to be in a room with dim to no light for the best results. It can use a usb stick so that was great. The picture was sharp and clear and it's ability to correct the projection for wall colour was good.
Summary: This product the BenQ Joybee GP1 did everything you they said it would. Problem is the seller I got it from obviously did not. I coach youth sports and got this to go over game footage with my players. It worked really well for about two months, then began washing out. I contacted the local electronics place and they stated the bulb was going out. Wow. I spent nearly $400 to save on buying a new one. I'll most likely never do that again.
Summary: After having purchased a "pico projector" as a birthday gift to myself and returning it the following day, I ordered this projector. I don't own a movie screen and actually made something which borders on useful out of some wood, a large which bed sheet and a staple gun. I used this projector for nearly a year and have used it for everything from watching films to playing video games. There is some good, some bad and some ugly.
