Summary: Personal Experience I have a PD100D now for 15 months. I am really very happy, it has surpasses all my expectations. It now has 3300 hours on its lamp and I only bought a spare today. The old lamp is going strong! The lamp is relatively cheap also. Will easily buy another PD100 or whatever the newer models are. Problems NONE!
Summary: I just got this projector and have been astounded by the qulity and picture. DVI-I port works wonderfully, I can use my native 1600x1050 resolution in laptop with DVI-I to projector, and get great resolution for pc use. Of course the 1280x1024 is a little better and can fully replace the small lcd monitors. My Dvix and other XVid, mapeg avi movies show great quality when watching movies, despite the fact that dvix movies are compressed.
Pros: Connectivity Picture Quality Portability, Usability Brightness and picture adjustibility
Cons: Maybe more manual settings could available but are not that neccessary with all available
Summary: Personal Experience I bought this projector last week. This is my first projector so I don't have a lot of things to compare it to. It's a definitive step up from my Sony Wega tv. Picture is clear & sharp, colours look deep & alive. I noticed the rainbow effect with some movies, only with the subtitles in certain scenes, it doesn't bother me much. Plenty choice with connections, only thing missing is a real component input (Acer includes a VGA to component bracket).
Summary: Personal Experience I've tried almost all inputs (except s-video) and this is my opinion: - DVD using components input is very good (dark scenes and colors very nice) on YPbPr 720p Progressive Scan - PC using 15-pin VGA cable is very good image is very clear and sharp on native resolution (800*600) but for the other supported resolutions only recommend the 1024*768 because on the other ones the scaling is not to good.
Summary: Personal Experience I've bought this projector yesterday and I'm really in love with it. I spent just 718€ (I'm from Spain) and it comes with VGA / VGA PassThrough, SVideo, Composite and DVI-I, wich is not usual in this price range. The connection is very simple and straight forward since it has input autodetection. I've tested VGA, SVideo and Composite with no problem at all.
