Summary: I have owned this projector for around a year, and for the first eight months I was very happy with it. It met the price point I was looking for, 1080p resolution and had all of the specs to project in the room that I wanted to use it in. The past two months I have hardly had the projector in my place due to an issue with overheating and shutting down. The original problem would occur within 45 min. - 1 hr.
Summary: This projector really impressed me, even on a normal white wall the sharpness and the contrast was amazing! It's a bit noisy but you don't hear it as soon as the movie starts playing. The auto keystone is really impressive and the menu is pretty intuitive. I strongly suggest it.
Summary: When I started looking for a projector I could not decide between the different types of projectors. After reading a lot of reviews, I decided to get the DLP style projector and I have to say it was defiantly the way to go. I only notice the "rainbow effect" if I move my head real fast or look away from teh screen and back quickly. The picture on this projector is way better then any of the other projectors I have used at school or in the office.
Summary: I've bought this few weeks ago and I'm returning it. I was using a Mitsubishi 720p projector and thought this acer going to be a upgrade but unfortunately I would rather have my 720p Mitsubishi. Don't get me wrong, it is bright & clear. but thats all it is. here are the issues i'm facing. 1. No horizontal keystone or lens shift. 2. Color doesn't look real. I've tried with different settings. 3. Very loud (fan noise). 4. Poor built quality. 5.
Summary: Personal Experience DLP so some of my friends see the rainbow effect. Doesn't bother me though as I am among the 80% that can't see it. Otherwise just a plain good projector. Got mine by a trade so didn't pay any hard cash for it. Problems None so far but I have only had it for a few weeks.
Summary: My previous projectors were "Benq MP611c/800x600/, Epson 705HD/1280x800 and Benq W600/1280x720/. So , this is my fourth and last one, no doubt :) The price I paid was 810 USD/including shipping/.The projector is small, light and it looks very fancy. The menu on it is very well-arranged and backlit/blue neon/.The remote is not backlit and there is a reason for this Acer's engineer decision.
Summary: Over all this is a great value for money home theatre which compares to most $2000 Projectors. Great Image Quality and Sharpness. good contrast and black levels. not to loud . the 2x Speed 6 color wheel means a clear picture with no rainbow effect like older models.
Pros: + Contrast + Color + Detail + Brightness + x2 speed 6 color color wheel, means no Rainbow effect unlike older models.
Summary: Personal Experience an exellent beamer with small bugs. +very bright +clear and sharp picture +lightning Colours +small +relative low fan noise -the Iris works loud and undependable(an Firmware update is coming on) -Reinbow effect (if you are sensitive of) with it`s brightness ,it`s perfect vor livingrooms
