Summary: Other than all the extra things you need to make a projection system work (glasses, screen, optional mounting) I'd say that the system is totally worth it if you have a room that can accommodate it. with some shopping, a total set can run you about the same price as some fancy TV at a store.
Pros: The system overall is pretty good. The 2 zooming lenses work for fine tuning your image to scale on your screen. The options within are the usual in what you would expect on a TV such as brightness, contrast. but options like eco mode make the bulb last a little long than normal (4000 hours non-e...
Cons: it seems that forum users who have this projector and bought a universal ceiling mount (including myself) had problems with putting the projector on the mount. Most people who bought universal mounts returned them and got an acer specific mount. Keep that in mind if ceiling mounting is what you w...
Pros: Very good quality projector from a reliable brand. Have used it at 130" for almost 6 months now 5 hours a day. Picture is great even in a not blacked out room. No issues so far. Eco mode saves lamp life and the lamps aren't too expensive compared to some other projectors I've looked at.
Cons: Projector gets hot after about an hour, but that is normal. Fan in the projector isn't quiet, but isn't loud either. I will probably upgrade to a higher CFM, lower DB rated fan in the future when it comes time to replace the lamp. No issues so far.
Summary: First off, Before I bought this I had zero experience with projectors and now I have some. But when it comes to A/V and so on I have quite a bit, and to me I couldn't sacrifice HD it either is or it's not. So with that in mind I was considering my budget, value, and performance.
Summary: This is my first projector so I really have nothing to compare it to. It was a toss up between this one and the similar BenQ. Price was the bottom line and Newegg put this one on sale when I was ready to buy.
Pros: Very bright, quiet, easy to set up and got it on sale from the egg.
Summary: I got it on sale for under $600. Hard to beat that price. Would be happier with better service but the projector is great overall.
Pros: Great image. As an avid cinema goer it has really made my theater outings fewer and fewer.
Cons: Got dust inside the lens and caused a bunch of annoying blurry white dots on dark scenes. I sent it in for service but got it back exactly the same. The service center did not even touch it. They just sent it back and said everything was fine. This is after a few long meticulous descriptions of t...

Summary: Recently bought this projector as my first foray into the world of home cinema. I love it and get a great picture, screen size is huge, although currently running a 90 inch screen. This projector gets fantastic reviews on various sites on the net.
Summary: I am really sensitive to the rainbow effect with this particular projector. I wish I wasn't since I find that this projector has great picture for the money. I not able to watch a full movie with this projector without getting a headache or being bugged by this effect.
Pros: Great Picture! Good blacks and plenty bright for daytime viewing.
Summary: No it dose not have many of the bells and whistles of the more expensive projectors but many of those are not needed anyway. If you want a 1080p projector that dose the job well and don't want to spend a lot of money doing it, this is it.
