Be aware that the range of display angle is VERY ...
25 December 2014
Summary: Be aware that the range of display angle is VERY small. That meaning that you will have only about half a meter space within you must place the projector to display to the desired size. You can adjust a little bit, but really just a little. We planed to put it on a shelf on a wall but ended up needing to mount it on the ceiling in the middle of the room to match the projection our screen size.
Summary: For the first eight months, this projector was amazing. Bright, vivid pictures, blacker blacks, etc. etc. Everything I hoped for. UNTIL... I noticed there were these odd, circular spots visible on darker images in the lower-left quadrant of the screen. The spots look as if someone is shining three very, very weak flashlights onto my screen. Not small, either. On a 100 inch screen, they're about the size of softballs.
Summary: Great projector. Crisp, bright, picture, quiet operation, all the input options I need. Bulb life that I can live with. Only minor gripes: Vibrations in whatever it is standing on can start it flickering a bit. I'm not sure if this is normal for any projector with an HID bulb or if it is just an artifact of this projector. Just something to be wary of. Second gripe: It stays a bit warm even when in standby, so you may want to unplug it after it cools down.
Love it - may be among the best purchases I've made in my life.

Summary: Just seems too good to be true. The price is manageable (considering that it's a 1080p, 3D compatible, 3000 lum, 10,000:1 contrast projector) and I'm hoping that it lasts long enough because it's amazing. I did not know that projectors could even GET this precise. Combined with a screen, the picture is sharp, the colors are awesome, great for video games OR movies.
Summary: I bought this projector to upgrade from an Infocus X1 (800x600). I'm seriously blown away by the quality! Imagine taking your HD TV and watching it 3x bigger with no loss of quality. Six Blu-Ray movies later and a couple weeks of use and I'm extremely happy with this purchase. I work in the graphics industry so I deal with color and quality on a daily basis. I tend to be really critical of things like this. The color out of the box is great.
Summary: I 've had this projector about 2 months. It shows a pretty good image when watching movies. The 2d to 3d feature may not work as well as some more expensive projectors, but it seems cool all the same. For gaming it seems to have a slight lag. I might say it could be from the vga cable I'm using from the computer. All and all the people I show the projector to seem to be awed by how nice of an image it projects, even on my homemade 1.0 gain screen. Good purchase.
Summary: Good budget projector. Features matching higher end projectors. But image quality not as expected even after color and gain adjustment. Deal breaker for me is that if HDMI input has more than 2 channel audio, the projector speakers makes unbearable sound/noise. Either should be able to down sample to 2 channels or at least cut off all audio and be silent.
Summary: Superb projector. It replaced my Optima HD72 and was the final piece of my home theater upgrade. I wish I had done this sooner...the improvement is substantial. Be prepared to move the hang point closer to the screen if you're upgrading. The Bluray performance is markedly better. I can't wait to try the 3D functionality.
Summary: I purchased this product in May, 2014 and used it for a few business presentations. This summer, I built a screen with Carl's folder cloth and was initially very pleased with the brightness and color renditions of the projected image. Then, with a mere 17 hours on the unit (display menu shows elapsed bulb time), the picture completely failed color-wise. I am sending it back for warranty repair now.
Requires manufacturer firmware upgrade to work with Fire TV, Roku, or Apple TV
5 August 2014
Summary: Out of box its HDMI only supports the xvYCC color gamut. In order for the H6510BD projector to work with Amazon Fire TV, Roku, or Apple TV its firmware needs to be updated to 1.05. This can only be done by Acer and requires you to ship them your projector which takes three weeks. I tried two different projectors from Amazon and they both had the same problem. If you plan on using this with a streaming device directly add three weeks to your delivery.
