Summary: I highly recommend the service plan if you are going to be getting heavy use out of this thing. We have ours playing 10 hours/day during the weekend so all the room mates can watch sports and in less than a year I have almost used half my estimated battery life.
Pros: High quality picture Easy setup Great for gaming! (I cannot stress this enough as it was the reason I bought this projector over others. The clarity and focus is off the charts. The response time is not noticeable at all.) Multiple picture options depending on what is showing on the screen, ie sports, games, movies, etc. I have this setup on a drywall I installed and painted with 3 coats of white primer. It is approximately 180" from corner to corner and the picture q...
Cons: Takes about 10 second to change channels because the projector has to process the image. Sometimes this does not happen. Seems to only happen when shows are not during commercial break although I definitely cannot confirm this. Sometimes I have problems getting sound to play from my laptop, through the hdmi, to the projector, and back out the 1/8" cable to my bose system. A simple reset of everything fixes that. Besides these two minor things there are no other cons.
Summary: Simply superb on the 1080 HD performance.!! I also ordered a Ben Q W1070 along with this one to compare picture quality. But after projecting 98" using HDMI signal from my Yamaha tuner, noticed that the Acer beats down BenQ by leaps and bounds in the resolution and color quality.
Summary: Personal Experience great 3D and 3D conversion ,really good Contrast very bright good color but not LCD colorm low noise video but on high its little noisy but acceptable. however the color wheel lamp are still exposed to cooling stream so dust is an issue a common DLP problem so not for dusty basements Problems None but these Hyper little DLPs last couple years before the have some issue and you just chuck em .no joke im in the projector biz .but at $550 to $650 you...
Pros: Bright screen even at 50% brightness setting. Very clear and sharp at 17 feet which makes for a 10'x6' screen. A major upgrade from the last version of this Acer projector H6510BD. Runs much cooler than previous model.
Cons: I'd like it to be able to change the size of the screen at even 17 feet away. Previous model allowed this.
Summary: For the money I've spent, I'm very happy. I have gamed on this for hours, watched many HD 60fps movies, and I will probably never buy another TV for the living room. I had no idea the projectors had come so far. My only other concern is how long the bulb will last before I have to change it... we'll see.
Pros: I move around a lot. Moving big high fidelity screens is a pain. I had no idea projectors had come this far. I'll never buy another TV. Now to address some of my concerns... It's Very Bright. Mounting was easy. Quiet fan. Light and easy to carry (comes with case) Great picture adjustments for a High Definition experience. Watching movies in 60fps is very smooth. I leave it in eco mode and it's plenty bright enough for normal use. I only take it off when it's very brig...
Cons: I'm sure this is the same with most projectors, but the Keystone adjustment is digital (not a physical adjustment in the lens or mirror). This means the more extreme the angle adjusted, you will loose a little quality because it scales down. It's best to mount projectors as close to a 90* angle, perpendicular to the wall as possible to prevent it from scaling down too much when squaring off your corners. Until I can get mine mounted on the celling, It's set to -13 key...
Summary: I bought the extra warranty instead of returning it. Fingers crossed. It's also worth noting that the projector was shipped in its retail box. Newegg verified via email that is how they are sent.
Pros: It works as advertised. I've owned this for a short time, but I can certainly agree with most of the great reviews. I've used this product every day since receiving it and have had no problems. My expectations were certainly met.
Cons: A year from now, I might be able to give this product 5 eggs. But for now, here is my issue with the product. The box sent to me had security stickers placed over the original factory tape. The box had obviously been opened before being sent. The contents appeared new except for the smudge on the bulb. I'm just not sure if I received a "new in box" product.
Summary: If you can get this on sale (like I did) I recommend it, gaming / watching movies is an entirely new experience! now I just have to get a surround sound system!
Pros: Huge Screen! It displays on my white wall perfectly <3 I have it on the lowest size! Focusing the screen is easy / straightforward My first projector, I haven't replaced the bulb yet but it seems to be easy to do. Most Importantly, It looks amazing! 1080p movies are stunning!
Cons: Runs a little hot but that's expected. Finding a projector screen is hard / expensive (though white walls work well ) The legs aren't all adjustable, making it somewhat hard to angle, I don't know why they went with 2 of 3 legs being adjustable, kind of annoying but once you have it set up it doesn't really matter.
Be aware that the range of display angle is VERY ...

Summary: Be aware that the range of display angle is VERY small. That meaning that you will have only about half a meter space within you must place the projector to display to the desired size. You can adjust a little bit, but really just a little. We planed to put it on a shelf on a wall but ended up needing to mount it on the ceiling in the middle of the room to match the projection our screen size.
