Summary: Writing from Bangalore, India. Ordered this item from Amazon.com and a friend carried this back to India. As a first time PJ user, I was in a confusion whether to go for a 1080p PJ or a 720p PJ. After doing all the research i decided to buy the Acer H5370BD - a 720p resolution PJ and today I absolutely do not regret on my decision, I do not see any reason to go for a 1080p PJ. This serves the purpose of a human eye fantastically well. An absolute value for money PJ!!!
Summary: This Acer projector is a great home projector for the price. At under $500 there is nothing that compares. The only problem is I need a more portable system. This isn't a stand alone projector. While it projected an excellent picture. The fan noise, which isn't that loud, made it difficult to heard the movie sound track via the built in speakers.
Summary: This is working great! Seriously, for the price, it's a really good deal. Knowing that we're talking about a low price projector, this product is doing exactly what we are expecting from it! I have been using it almost it every day since, playing video games, watching movies, tv show and concerts! I'd be awesome with a sound output but apparently it does not exist.
Summary: I was using Epson EX-71 earlier and when the time for change came, I checked various models in economoy range and settled for Acer H5370BD. I am very happy with the purchase. Pros 1) Price - Real VFM 2) Color - Very Vibrant 3) Black - As stated by many in their reviews, black is black with this PJ Cons 1) Screen size for the same distance is lesser comparing to my earlier PJ Epson EX71 2) HDMI handsake is not as smooth as my earlier PJ.
Summary: I think this is the best starting point for someone who wants to experience big screen HD + 3D viewing at fraction of a cost. The setup was a breeze and the out of the box images were really good. I would say the 3D is okay, since I was expecting more pop out effects. Could be related to SBS 3D movies, yet to try 3D Blu Ray. So a point less there. Even the fan noise isnt really a distraction when placing the projector on a table.
Summary: Amazing! The picture quality is perfect and looks very crisp and just as good as any TV. I am just projecting onto a bedsheet, but it still looks really nice. The 3-D works great I like it more than passive 3-D in some ways. If you're looking for a good quality projector that does 3-D and native HD 720p under $500, this is the answer.
3D is sweeeeeet, and can't find better quality/price ratio

Summary: This projector was in my wish/watch list in several online shopping websites and I jumped on it when the price dropped to $400. I chose it over its competitor the BenQ W770ST (Short Throw model , $530 at the time of this review) because of its 3D multi-format support and its 2D to 3D feature. I really wanted a short throw, but I wanted the 3D features even more.
Summary: On a budget for a home theater this projector met my expectations. For $405 I now have a 140" 16:9 screen that also does 3d conversion with a touch of a button. Shoots 720 HD and the picture is sharp, bright and clear. I'm pretty picky about my electronics and tv viewing. I researched projector for about a month before pulling the trigger on this one. There is nothing remotely close to this projector for the price. Everyone who has seen my setup says wow !
