Summary: I should review items more often. This Acer Projector lost me. I thought I was getting a fair deal when I bought it in April 2014. It started having problems in October 2015. $500.00 for a year and a half.
Summary: I bought this projector and it worked fine for about a year. Then it went dead. After a couple phone calls to Acer's outsourced support, I had to pay $80 shipping to send it in for repair. Two weeks later I received it back. It worked for 3 days and broke again!
Summary: Writing from Bangalore, India. Ordered this item from Amazon.com and a friend carried this back to India. As a first time PJ user, I was in a confusion whether to go for a 1080p PJ or a 720p PJ.
Summary: Worked well when it worked, but when I have to depend on a product I might consider something else...
Pros: Cheap, 720p, lots of options compared to my last entry level projector.
Cons: Not many, other than perhaps quality? I have owned this for only the better part of 3 months. I fire it up in the morning after using the projector the prior evening, only to find out that the color wheel has failed? The power LED is on, and the 'lamp' led is flashing red, which seems to indicate...
3D is sweeeeeet, and can't find better quality/price ratio

Summary: This projector was in my wish/watch list in several online shopping websites and I jumped on it when the price dropped to $400. I chose it over its competitor the BenQ W770ST (Short Throw model , $530 at the time of this review) because of its 3D multi-format support and its 2D to 3D feature.
Pros: entry level price, multiple input options, great picture (I have only used the hdmi input)
Cons: have owned for only a few months, very limited use since the room is not fully set up for convenience and comfort yet. We have only watched a few movies on it. This morning my children turned it on and NO PICTURE. I checked it out when I returned home and saw a red 'lamp' light on.
Summary: Personal Experience Great from the start, have owned it for 5 months between moving from house to apt. and into new house. Has been boxed up an unboxed daily. With most projectors, Crap in crap out! HQ in HQ out! Very Happy! was worried about the Rainbow effects, but no problems.
Summary: I did some research before buying this one and in my opinion it was the best projector in it's class/price range (the price has gone up since I bought it significantly, but this is still probably true). For 720p and the feature-set, this is a good buy.
Pros: Decently bright. You still need a pretty dark room to avoid washing the image out. It's fine with some daylight (like thin curtains) or a lamp with a low watt bulb. 720p. I moved up from a 480 projector and the difference is night and day. HDMI. It has svideo, vga, RCA, and composite. But I was i...
Cons: Looking around for bulbs, they are about $225 when I looked. I did some math while I was waiting for the delivery (which may or may not be accurate) and I seem to recall coming up with a average 4 year lifespan with 3 hours a day average view time. Single chip DLP = Rainbow effect, if you're sens...
Summary: Personal Experience I purchased this projector from newegg, took it out of the box and within 1min it overheated and shut off. Terrible manufacturing. I wouldn't recommend this projector to my worst enemy. Don't waste your time on this one. Going to buy an American made projector from now on.
Summary: First and foremost, let me make one thing clear- going from a 32 inch HDTV to this projector on a 69 inch screen is a stunning upgrade. This unit blows me away! The best part about it? Its under $500! This projector will not disappoint!
