Summary: Bought this to hold daily meetings for my projects. So basically I have to show some static content that is easy to read (Excells, ppt., Jira, etc). I have to say it is good for that, and you DO have to close the blinds in a room to get a comfortable picture. Do not mistake this for a full powered projector, it is only comfortable for meetings within 1 hour range, any more than that and it is uncomfortable for your eyes.
Summary: It was very difficult to understand the installation booklet and required lots of contacting vendor, operating system to try utilize projector with table. Could never get projector performing with tablet.
Worthless support from Acer - Galactics would not accept return
3 June 2014
Summary: Tried to make this projector work with any connection other than the cable supplied. Will not work with anything other than the specialized cable from Acer. Support was awful. Buy another brand with better connection options.
Summary: I use this projector for business meetings when the conference room is not available. Plugs right into my windows 8 laptop launches and I'm ready to go. I don't usually carry the power plug with me and the USB 3 plug provides the juice to get a reasonable image brightness on a off-white wall. (Real World results) You don't have to keep a battery charged which is nice and makes the unit light weight.
Summary: I bought this projector to do camping movie nights with but it now resides in the conference room of my CPA friend. You need to use the supplied power adaptor for full brightness but it will work adequately using two usb ports.(1 usb 3.0 & 1 2.0). There is no Kensington effect correction so the projector can't be tilted up or down a great deal. I have it velcroed to a bookshelf and at 15ft. it almost fills a 120" projection screen.
Summary: We purchased this projector to use in meetings (Powerpoint) while travelling. If you use both the USB power cord and the AC adapter power source, the projector is bright enough to be visible in even well-lit situations. If it would allow zooming functions, I would give this 5-stars.
