(was a) Great Projector for a Great Price (Updated)
2 November 2014
Summary: I love this projector. Here is my set up and it really allows me to get the most out of it. **** Update below ****** Chromecast into AAXA Projector. AUX cable running sound from projector to my JBL Powerup speaker. I've had this projector for over a year and it's been great. Not ideal for bright situations. I bought this for my bedroom so I can watch Netflix in bed. I sometimes will watch football games on it as well and it looks great.
Summary: Disappointed that I never even got to use it once. Ordered a used one on here and it came with out an adapter. It had enough charge to turn it on for a minute but then needed to be plugged in. The spare adapter I used had the right connector but the wrong voltage and fried it instantly.
Summary: We love it!!!! We turned one of our rooms into a media room. Instead of buying an expensive large 70 in flat screen, we made a great deal with purchasing this PICO! It connects to our playstation, Xbox, phones and laptop (with the correct connections purchased separately in Amazon too).
Summary: Just got mine today. So far I love it! I bought this projector to watch dramas from bed because I'm lazy. I was worried if I was going to be able to read the subtitles but the words are so clear, in the dark of night of coarse. I tried it during the day and it was reasonable but definitely better quality in the dark. Don't try playing and games during the day though. Played Rainbow six during the day and couldn't see the enemy.
Summary: The projector needs almost total darkness and a very small area in order to view anything. The tri-pod is not sturdy enough for the weight of the projector making it almost impossible to steady and if and when this is accomplished, the display is askew. This also makes focusing difficult as the slightest touch causes the projector to slip from side to side.
Summary: Set up nicely. The included remote is flimsy and has limited range. Definitely could be better. Used the projector in a meeting environment using the controls on the projector itselt It's OK; somewhat limited unless the room is dark. I guess portable projectors are meant for small dark rooms. The included tripod is a nice accessory, but I think a larger more secure platform will go a long way in preventing accidental tipping over, etc.
Summary: I bought a refurbished one of these off of woot. This is the very first projector I have ever owned so keep that in mind. I was and continue to be surprised by how bright 50 lumens is. I bought this projector for a very odd reason and maybe this might help someone or it might bore you but here goes.
Summary: I needed a light weight alternative to carrying around the 32" TV that I had been. I am very pleased that I purchased this projector. I have used it with and iPad, Samsung tablet and a Mac Mini computer. I have been using it for about a month now and I have no problems.
