Works as designed.

Michael G., Newegg
22 May 2013
  • Summary: For the price, it is a really good "bang-for-the-buck" purchase.
  • Pros: Much cheaper than a local AV store offering. Easy to install with some hardware from the hardware store (less than $20 to hang it from the ceiling). I installed it by myself in less than 2 hours (bolted it to a beam in the attic). Looks excellent with my ViewSonic projector.
  • Cons: Wish I had purchased the 120'' screen, but really 100'' is fine.

Excellent

Richard E., Newegg
5 December 2012
  • Summary: I use this on my Acer projector that uses 1080p as well with 3D. No Complaints on the dpi and picture is awesome.
  • Pros: It's massive! The Screen material is made really well unlike other projector screens out there that are just glued. The quality of this product is worth every penny.
  • Cons: I see a lot of complaining about the edges on the sides curing up in everyone's comments. It's a retractable screen guys. Why wouldn't the sides after time get curvy, that's just common since when you buy any projector screen that rolls up. Mine does the same as well, easy fix though, leave it do...

still going strong

Eric R., Newegg
29 December 2011
  • Summary: I was shocked and awed to see that this product is still in stock. I bought mine in May 2006. We haven't pulled the screen off the roller yet. I neglected to mention the image quality, which is nice enough but my next screen will be higher quality. Especially now that I have a 1080p projector.
  • Pros: still works. still good enough. I certainly got a Benjamin worth out of it. We probably watched 1000 movies on it since 2006. 1000 ups and downs, and it's still there.
  • Cons: Starting to curl on edges. Artifacts on screen coating are noticeable with a 1080p image.

Great screen for the price

William B., Newegg
16 January 2010
  • Summary: Got lucky with shipping not damaging this screen. Many have complained about this screen coming in damaged. The box on mine had a little puncture, but there was no damage to the screen at all.
  • Pros: This screen is incredible for the price. the build quality looks good and it's beautiful to look at. The image quality on the screen looks great too even though I don't have an other top quality screen to compare it to.
  • Cons: The sides curve in just a little, but not much to really affect the image.

you get what u pay for

Wanwisa S., Newegg
15 March 2009
  • Summary: I used two 50lb drywall hooks and hung it fromt he ceiling.
  • Pros: Nice picture, easy to use, been about a month, used it about 10 times and so far no problems. My wife bought me this screen for a valentines day gift, And I'm very happy with it. Much better picture then the wall could give me.
  • Cons: 1. No mounting hardware?? No brackets or anything. I would have been nice to get the hardware with it, even if it was a combo deal or something. screen has slight wrinkling at the bottom, but I don't notice it when watching a movie or playing my games.

Great for the money

conrad l., Newegg
20 January 2009
  • Summary: Overall seems to be a great screen for the money. If you want value it is here, if you want a $500 screen experience well then go buy a $500 dollar screen.
  • Pros: Well foremost pro has got to be the price. In addition the construction seems to be fine. I'm not sure how it would handle being rolled up and down daily as mine just stays down but the few times I have rolled it up it has given me no trouble at all. I was previously using a painted wall and I do...
  • Cons: Didn't ship with any type of brackets so be prepared to take a drive to your local hardware store.

Good screen, terrible construction

Jason G., Newegg
12 April 2008
  • Summary: If I had to do it again I would not buy this screen. I was going to RMA it through Newegg, but since I already have it hung and it's not important that I be able to retract it, I haven't returned it...yet.
  • Pros: I use this screen with my Mitsubishi HC3000 and it looks good.
  • Cons: When I first received the package from newegg, upon opening one end pieces of black platic fell out of the box. I quickly learned that these must have been part of the retracting mechanism because the screen doesn't retract. Also, the screen has had wrinkling especially around the bottom. It's no...

Happy with the screen

John R., Newegg
13 February 2007
  • Summary: UPS damaged the first one I got; Newegg came through like a champ and shipped a replacement the next day for free. UPS damaged that one too, so rather than getting a constant stream of broken screens, I went to Elite Screens website and requested a replacement for the one broken plastic part.
  • Pros: The screen is working fine for me. I haven't had any trouble with rolling it up and down, but in my dedicated room it pretty much just stays unrolled all the time. I'm a theater newbie but this screen seems like a great way to get started.
  • Cons: None.

be careful

Eric R., Newegg
18 August 2006
  • Summary: I can see how people have yanked the screen off of the roller due to frustration in getting it to roll up. But after a little careful practice, my wife is now able to get it to roll up on one pull every time. Even my 10 year old son figure it out. It's all about Finesse.
  • Pros: good price.
  • Cons: cheap construction. Other reviews I read elsewhere describe how the screen is attached to the roller with duck tape. Don't pull too hard. Difficult to get back up until you learn the exact amount of force required to let it roll up.
