Summary: Works, bright, continues with a clear image on my Sharp DLP projector. Not a OEM part so there are some minor compatibility issues such as occasionally the bulb does not light on start-up but does on restart. I use this projector only occasionally due to its size.
Summary: This lamp is brighter that the OEM version and I have yet to have a mis-start which happened often with the original lamp. the OEM lamp would often fail to ignite after 3 tries, then I would have to un power, then re-power the projector so it would keep trying. this went on for about a year until the lamp finally failed. I am very pleased with this replacement, hopefully the lamp is durable as well, but only time will tell.
Summary: This is definitely junk. the new lamp installed easily - it is an exact fit to the projector. It worked great for 1 hour - then the lamp bulb popped/exploded. If there is any mercury in this thing then it is sprayed across my room now. I have submitted a return claim to Amazon. I will update this comment based on a succeessful return to get my money back. I read another post that said they never got a refund.
Summary: This lamp was way less expensive than the OEM bulb from Sharp. Given the price of the Sharp bulb and the age of my projector, I seriously thought about simply buying a new projector. Thanks to this bulb, however, I brought my Sharp back to life. The bulb and housing were a perfect fit and seems to be every bit as bright as the orginal bulb.
Summary: After installation, for a few days the projector gave a bad smell in the heat rejection. Smell like mercury or like toxic chemicals. I was worried about that because I have kids. Moreover it's winter here, -25 C and windows cannot be openned for long.
