Excerpt: This is my second review on this bulb. The bulb that came with my projector lasted about 1,950 hours. It started a horrible flicker at 1,400 to 1,500 hours by 1,900 it was dimming horribly. So I bought a replacement from B&H a few years ago. The replacement bulb I bought back then now has 4,180 hours!!!! and has only began to flicker slightly.
Excerpt: This projector lamp is a real mfg part. I have now purchased three lamps for the Panasonic AE2000U. The other two were "mfg equivalent". WRONG. Their performance was pathetic as they were much dimmer. At 2000 hours of use, the approx. $ difference is not worth it. Spend the extra $ per hour and get the real Panasonic part from B&H. Also, the Panasoni part comes with a new filter.
Excerpt: So far, so good. The bulb was half the price of one I could purchase through an electronics store here. The bulb came in a reasonable time. It will be interesting to see how many hours we get out of it and that will be the deciding factor on whether I order this again.
Excerpt: If you have ever bought and installed a lamp in your projector you know the value of buying the lamp made by the manfacturer of your projector. The quality is great and you only have to see the brightness of the picture to see this. There are other manufacturers of lamps that will fit my projector but they don't have the quality of the Panasonic. Thanks to Joel at B and H for his help.
Pros: Brighter Image, Easy To Set Up, Good Padding, Lightweight, Secure
Excerpt: I watch TV using a projector. I read reviews of projector bulbs that were too dim or did not work purchased on auction sites and other sites for 1/4 the cost. Everyone ended up buying real Panasonic OEM, NOT OEM Equivalent, or Generic OEM. I decided to buy OEM from B&H as I am convinced that they stand behind their products and if something goes wrong they will make it right. You get what you pay for.
Excerpt: I made the mistake of buying a knock-off bulb, which saved me over $200. Unfortunately, I spent about two hours working with a magnifying glass and small screw driver installing it because it didn't come with the housing. The bulb lasted about 150 hours... My original bulb is still alive and kicking and has over 2000 hours on it, but I replaced it because the warning light was on. I learned my lesson that for a $4000 projector that it's worth having an original bulb...
