Summary: I have one of these on my desk here at work. I do a lot of printing in color. This thing is quick. When it needs to warm up it can take a little time. Go figure with the type of work it has to do. When it starts spitting out documents it does so rapidly. The "ink" is very unique. I would say it is something like that of a crayon. It needs to melt the stuff to apply it to the paper.
Summary: I have used this printer, extensively, for 2 years in a variety of situations. The option to print color, very, very cheaply is awesome. The freedom to freely use color opens up some interesting possibilities, from a marketing perspective. The thing to realize is, your buying an approx. $400 printer for over 2k. THERE IS NO COMPARISON BETWEEN THIS PRINTER AND AN UPPER END HP (or similar) LASER, which can be bought for less money.
Summary: I had a Xerox laser which worked very well, but it could not take glossy paper. I do have an Epson professional printer, but it costs a lot to run and it doesn't feed easily. So I got this Xerox printer (I got some money for the laser). It is very good. All the good things said about this printer in the review below are true. It produces very good color with little fooling around. It hibernates if you aren't using it, but it keeps the ink from congealing.
Summary: This printer takes too long to warm up, print speed is extremely slow. But worst of all the color scratches off. If you print a brochure you will have color transfer on the back of the page in front of it. These may work for personal one page printing - but for an office environment it it the worse I have seen....it may be less expensive to run, but the quality is Cheap!
ANTonline is selling products they cant get and cant ship.

17 November 2010
Summary: I ordered this on Nov 11th 2010 at 9AM. This was supposed to ship and ARRIVE between the 17th and the 22nd. ANTonline is unable to ship this and is blaming Xerox claiming they are unable to ship. Not only are they unable to ship a product they are claiming to be able too, but they have waited FIVE BUSINESS DAYS to say anything. My recommendation is that if you ACTUALLY NEED the product - DO NOT BUY FROM ANTonline.
Pros: The colors are brilliant and text is the clearest that I have ever seen on a color laser printer. Consumables for this particular printer are extremely cost effective.
Cons: This printer does not handle 80 lb cover stock paper well. It leaves a shiny vertical streak an inch long and it is not just my printer. All of the 8860 printers do that according to the engineering dept at Xerox. Xerox tech support is terrible too.
Summary: When I was looking at printers, I was astounded at the cost-per-page in color this printer gives you- it's better than the best laser printer period (even huge color laser machines, like at kinkos), and MILES better than anything else in the price range. I had several concerns though, because the printer itself was expensive for me, and so I did a lot of research, and braced myself for the possible negatives, and got it.
Summary: The printer worked fine until one day (about 14 months old) an error message appeared and the printer stopped printing. After repeated calling and talking to XEROX technical support and after having a technician from the XEROX certified service center come out - several times - the printer is now non-functional. XEROX doesn't take responsibility - even though they could not tell me what the error code means.
Summary: I bought this printer for my office and am extremely happy with it. I work with some people that are not very technically inclined and this printer could not be easier to use. Replacing the ink is literally as simple as lifting the top "door" up to reveal shaped holes then dropping the new solid ink in. There's no toner dust flying around the room and no bulky toner cartridges to dispose of.
