Nothing but issues

Green Grower, Amazon
22 October 2014
  • Summary: Have a Phase 6200 but this one is just painful to own. After about 3 months service had to come out 3 times to repair then they just gave up with trying to fix it and had a recondition printer sent to me. Bought new toner which is about as much as just buying the printer again, then started having more problems with flaky trouble codes that come and go. Finally just gave up and tossed it and bought a Ricoh printer instead.

DMV has better customer service than Xerox.

Michael C., Amazon
12 August 2014
  • Summary: The employees on the help line are generally unhelpful and unwilling to try and solve your problem beyond minor troubleshooting suggestions generated from a database. Xerox will also blame print issues on your computer rather than their own hardware - it must be your software! So while the image quality is good, the service is complete crap. Don't buy.

Not for network use

Venron, Xerox
14 March 2014
  • Summary: We have quite a few Phaser 6280 printers where I work, and they are great printers. Unfortunately, they were replaced with the 6600, which is slower than some 20 year old printers we still have. Print speed is acceptable with a direct USB connection, but on the network is pretty much an exercise in frustration. This is the only model of the 10 or more models we own that has this problem. Definitely do not recommend this for workgroup use.

Big disappointment on color & envelopes

laura970, Staples
16 January 2014
  • Excerpt: This printer was a big disappointment. While it is fast and the print quality is good, I had two big issues. The first is that business envelopes come out seriously wrinkled on one end. Large, squarer envelopes (professional Thanksgiving cards) came out with the printing completely skewed. The second big issue is the color. I use a Pantone blue color for my logo and other presentation materials which is a darker blue - close to navy.
  • Pros: Easy To Set Up, Fast
  • Cons: Poor Color Rendering, Skews Envelopes, Wrinkles Envelopes

Defective, poorly designed product

Doron "Doron", Amazon
29 August 2013
  • Summary: Received printer approximately three months ago. It took trying three different drivers and twenty minutes on the phone with a representative to install the printer so that it actually worked with my computer. Once installed, the printer, which has an option to print in both color and in black and white, would not print in plain B&W even with every option selected.

Picture on Office Depot site is misleading

Lisay, Office Depot
24 July 2013
  • Excerpt: We purchased this printer online for our company thinking that we were getting a printer with three trays. However, when we received the printer, it only had the bypass tray and the one paper tray. When I called to inquire where the other tray was, they said that tray had to be purchased separately. There is no where in the description that states it needs to be purchased separately or even gives the option for it.

nice features, pig on toner

PMRAC, Amazon
30 April 2013
  • Summary: We had a xerox 8650MFP for years and loved it! We finally decided to replace it with a smaller printer because we didn't need the faxing or scanning capabilities any more. The 6600 is a nice printer with a terrific duplexer. But it eats toner like crazy. We spent more on toner in the first month with this printer than we did on the 8650 over 6 months and our printing habits have not changed. It's horrible.

To costly to maintain

Anonymous, Xerox
12 April 2013
  • Summary: The print quality is great but the printer cost so much to maintain! I cannot afford to continue using it. The toner is extremely expensive and does not last. I have gone through 2 full sets of color cartridges 4 of them being the high yield and have only printed 2,000 pages.
