Summary: 8 months in: With 15 years doing digital color printing, I can say this is as good as it gets for the price. However, it is cheaper to donate the printer to some cause when the toners run out and buy a new one. Literally. You can generally get a new one or the later model for 1/2 what whole set of Xerox toners cost. I knew that going in.
Summary: We bought this printer for my husband's home based business. Besides the regular use, we print labels for his products and this little printer has just been amazing. The quality is great, the speed is super and it is really easy to use. For home use or a small business you can't beat it. The replacement ink is reasonable especially if you reload the cartridge provided which I have done now with the black.
Summary: I purchased this printer for my home office when my wife went back to school to complete a Masters degree over a year ago. She put it through its paces with many papers to do in both color and black & white. Overall I would say that I am quite happy with the device - it has done the job and costs have been reasonable in terms of toner. The software has been rock solid on Windows 7, Windows 8 and OS X 10.8.
Summary: The Xerox Phaser 6280DN is my first laser printer. I bought this model because I believed it to be versatile, comparatively inexpensive and knew it to have Adobe Postscript capability. I've not been disappointed so far and can report that setting up the printer and installing the driver software went without trouble. In general, this is more printer than I need.
Summary: This Xerox laser printer is excellent; the print is clear, colors beyond belief, and reliable so far. Xerox for a long time was a darling of the industry, as was reflected in the stock market. In recent years, they have fallen from favor mainly because their product support is almost non-existant; if you buy this printer, you WILL need product support.
Summary: Great printer at a great price. Fast, quiet as a mouse in sleep mode and works great on my wife's iBook running OSX 10.4. I understand new drivers are due out for OSX 10.7 Lion this spring as there is a glitch in which the driver pauses the printer after printing and leaves the printed job in the que, so when you un-pause the printer, it reprints the job in the que unless you delete it first. Looking forward to the new driver.
Summary: After a great amount of research, wherein I consulted with numerous independent reviewers and a zillion personal reviews, I chose the Xerox Phaser 6280DN printer. A main criteria was easy integration into a home network with a mixture of MAC and PC, hard wired and WI-FI. Many of its competitors suffered from poor MAC drivers. As a graphics design studio was involved, it had to produce images suitable for customer proofs. This printer was easy to setup.
Summary: Comments about Xerox Phaser 6280DN Laser Printer: Bought it for home use based on good reviews and low price. Nicely fits into a light-colored room. Easy to set up, especially, on Win 7. Print quality is great. The duplex feature is nice. It's pretty quiet when it's not printing. As expected, it is a bit bulky, and it draws quite a bit of electricity when warming up (I've been using it with a computer plugged into a UPS without any problems).
Pros: Durable Construction, Easy To Setup, Easy To Use, Fast Print Time, Sharp tones & colors
