Printing issues with poor tech support

C.J. Wilkes "Cindy Wilkerson", Amazon
  • Summary: When the printer is working it does a great job however occasionally it just prints out a page full of black and blue lines, see attached photo. It would do this about 3-4 times a year. We've only had this printer for two years with very light use. Last night when my husband went to print out a document it produced the same black and blue page of lines and since then has not corrected itself. We've tried all of the diagnostics to no avail.

17 June 2014
  • Summary: So far I have not had any problems with this printer. It is working just fine. I just need to take a class on color management, but other than that, I'm ok.

Excellent printer - toner is prohibitvely expensive

Martin Fields, Amazon
20 May 2014
  • Summary: We needed a tabloid printer that handled heavy stock. This workhorse fits the bill. Colors and print quality are excellent. I handles duplex printing with heavier stock smoothly at high volumes. This is a big, heavy printer. Be sure you have a place to put it before it arrives. You'll need to people to unpack it and set it up and you won't want to move it again. The only drawback is that Xerox charges over $1200 for a set of high capacity toner cartridges.

Product title is incorrect

Thomas W. Phinney, Amazon
19 January 2014
  • Summary: This is not actually a laser printer, but an LED printer. LED printers tend to have lower resolution and poorer color accuracy, while being less expensive.

Lemon

Darina Pagac, Amazon
22 May 2013
  • Summary: I purchased this machine in August 2010 after the vendor raved on about how it was the best replacement for the old HP5500 we were upgrading from. It printed lovely images, when it was printing. The magenta toner leaked all over the inside of the machine and no-one could fix it, so we received a replacement from Xerox after complaining for 6 months. I cannot put value on lost productivity and time spent hunting down the claim. The new Xerox 7500dn arrived August 2012.

Phaser 6280 Review

David A. Marin, Amazon
5 March 2012
  • Summary: This is not our first Phaser printer and certainly won't be our last. This is a terrific printer that we have had great luck with over the past few years. Now that we have more than one we can share supplies and that makes life just a bit simpler.

Beware PCNation Sales Tax Gimmick

Amazon Customer, Amazon
21 December 2011
  • Summary: The Xerox 6280 is an excellent color printer and it arrived on time and in good condition. But I was disappointed with the vendor, PCNation. When ordering there was no sales tax shown on the Amazon site. But, the next day I received a phone call from PCNation telling me that they had to collect sales tax - PCNation is in IL and I am in CA so I was a little suspicious.

Great printer, but didn't last

aj49, Amazon
9 December 2011
  • Summary: I bought this printer in the summer of 2009 and it worked great for 2 years. Excellent print quality, though the toner cartridges are very expensive. I only had to replace the toner cartridges one time, so that was not too bad. Recently, I began to get a CRUM error, which required restarting the printer. Then I had an MCU error, which indicates a problem with the computer board.
