Excerpt: I have serious questions about Xerox's technical approval process. How on Earth could this machine have been approved for a worldwide launch with the extremely annoying noise it makes. The noise is not disruptive when you're in a conversation, but it constantly draws your attention when trying to concentrate. There's a constant hiss or sizzle, probable caused by a fan, which sounds like a bottle of gas with a defect tap on it. After printing, a beep is added for a while.
Summary: Don't buy. I had a Xerox 8560, the print head went bad, out of warranty. ( I paid for the warranty as long as they offered one on this product) I bought the 8870 to replace the 8560, used it for 2 1/2 years. It's noisy, but livable. It leaves lines in color photos that, no matter how much you "clean" the heads, keep coming back. When it prints black and white, it does normally look nice. But, as with the other reviews, if you use it a lot, it wears out fast.
The Printer is Powered ON, But There is No Power, Lights, or Sounds

Summary: I bought this printer in March 2013. It was delivered on time and it worked perfectly for 7 months. Then the printer decided for no reason to power off. It won't turn on! We checked the Xerox support on: [...] And to our surprise there are several complaints about this same problem. The printer is being used in one of our overseas offices, so we took it to the local xerox dealer (not in the USA). It is still under warranty.
Would never buy Xerox ColorQube multi-function printer again

Summary: I bought the Xerox 8700 ColorQube multi-function printer June 2012 because I trusted the Xerox name. However, 6 months after my purchase I've had nothing but problems with it. I purchased the machine through Staples and bought the extended warranty which ended up being useless because they argued about who's responsible...Xerox or Staples, & they couldn't find anyone to service my machine.
