I dot recommend this printer for professional office use

Summary: not a commercial grade printer by any means, can not handle different paper thicknesses for check printing, etc. Our A/P person is fit to be tied using this printer as it cannot handle simplest of tasks without constant reprogramming & manipulation of settings. Can only process one check at a time, then needs to be reprogrammed again for the next check, for example. A Bust!
Summary: I got really tired of the ink jet printers I've owned, mostly because I don't use a printer all that regularly. Between sitting idle for days and being in a dry climate, the cleaning of the jets used more ink than printing whatever it was I was eventually able to print. I haven't had any problems so far with the laser printer even though it has set unused at times. It was suggested that I use laser paper in order to keep the inside of the printer from getting dusty.
Summary: I purchased this printer in September of 2013 and it ran fine for about three months. On average, I print about 30 pages including both color and B/W prints. It stopped printing in November of 2013 because there was a problem with the blue toner. I could not even print B/W until it was resolved. The Xerox technician came out and replaced a part and told me that this particular part was prone to go bad so I should expect to have to replace it again in a few months.
Summary: Xerox known for some of the most reliable business machines has seriously missed the mark on this unit including the service for the printer. The printer for text or letters does an above average job, and is quicker than my old HP or Lanier. The Lanier did incredible prints of photos, but the Xerox was subpar. Now in its defense it really isn't a photo printer, but I guess I felt it should have done a bit better than it did or at least matched my Lanier 135.
Summary: I can see this printer can be worn out if too much printing is done on a regular basis so pay attention to the usage recommendations if considering for a small office. This is a laser printer with a robust (and therefore complex) set of menu choices and driver types. It greatly helps if you are a techie type of person or have ready access to one if you are using this at home.
Pros: Have had this over 1 year now and I can say my best home printer ever. I work from home and have 3 kids in HS and College printing to this. Ink Jet printers always dry out when unused for a week or so and always when you need them most. Never once have I failed to be able to print with this HP.
Cons: A Built-in WIFI should have only added $20 to the cost to build so why not include it?
Summary: Very good quality. Not the fasted or the cheapest. I had a previous model and it worked well for several years. I haven't been able to try every many color printers like these so it's very hard to compare, but it's good enough for what we use it for which is to proof print adds.
