Excerpt: Monthly duty cycle is supposedly 40,000/month. I'm looking at my Startup Page, with total lifetime pages printed of 15,974. Print quality awful so I took it in to be repaired. Repair cost, labor + material, would be more than the cost of a new 6500N.
Summary: I ordered one of these for the workplace and am returning it shortly after unboxing it and setting it up. Reasons: 1. Color is very far off, especially compared with the other printers in the workplace within the same price range.
Excerpt: printer drivers were troublesome, but generally worked well enough for a year, then gave up. diagnostic panel indicated front paper jam, but there was none. Can't find anything to fix. I would recommend something else.
Summary: If anyone wants my duplex unit let me know. Rest is going in the trash.
Pros: - When it was new, color images looked really good - Plenty of after market toner options
Cons: - Fuser went back just a few months after purchase. Replaced under warranty - which is hard. Xerox wants you to ship it to them. Not cheap. About 18 months later fuser has failed again. - Manual feed curls envelopes pretty badly. Just like everyone else has already said.
Excerpt: Unpacked it and plugged it into Windows 10 desktop using the USB 2 cable. I didn't use the disk supplied. It worked immediatly. Printer uses a lot of power (1000 watts) when in operation. Good that it has a power saving mode.
Summary: I have had many printers. This one is the best by far. I am an artist, and I needed a printer for reproduction of art work and program brochures. The quality is excellent; and when I purchase the Xerox high capacity toners, the price for ink is very reasonable.
