Summary: Will never buy any used item again in my lifetime I threw it away after it frustrated the hellout of me the print paper kept curling up sticking all the pictures were ruined. Wasted my expensive paper and print ribbon.
Summary: Just received my Sony Printer and all I can say is Oh My Gosh!!! We have been working on a family history photo project for several years and have always used the HP printers and been pleased with their performance. I purchased my Sony DPP_FP30 to try something new (since HP's don't like refilled cartridges anymore). One photo printed and I am hooked and will never go back.
Summary: I have the Sony camera and I have only used the Sony picture maker, to print off all my pictures. I have a new grandchild on the way and I plan on taking lots of precious pictures. Now I'm all set. Thank you!
Summary: I was fine with the picture quality and print speed although the colors sometimes looked too intense. My gripe is that the printer stopped working before I could even reach 100 pictures. I've read online comments from others with the same problem of sections of the photo coming out white/blank. I've tried cleaning the print head, checking for visible loose/broken parts, and replacing the ink cartridge and paper several times to no avail.
Summary: I've had this printer for 3 years and use it all the time. I've had no problems with it and it still prints wonderful pictures. The only down side is that when I purchase the 40 picture pack, I usually have 1 picture paper left and I run out of ink, so I don't get my 40 prints, but the quality is so good that I like them better than if I go to CVS OR WAL MART.
Summary: Besides the expensive ink and paper (although value packs are available now), this little devil is a charm with a cherry on top! It is a bit more expensive than other dye-sub printers, but once you try it out you'll realize it's worth it. One leasson I learned, never go cheap on dye-sub photo printers, they're worth every penny and the DPP-FP30 rules them all.
Summary: This printer does print excellent pictures, but I've had it less than a year and had to send it in for cleaning already, which I had to pay the shipping. The utility that they used to clean it is impossible for the consumer to access, so you have to send it in. I've purchased two printing packs which were supposed to produce 80 pictures each. I only have 90 pictures to show for it. I'm waiting for Sony to resolve the situation.
