Mac users printing envelopes - install the factory driver for best results

docbrown88, Amazon
  • Summary: This printer like many today install in Mac OS X in just a few clicks, using apple-supplied drivers. Everything worked fine over our network from 10.8 and 10.9 machines; however today I tried printing to number 10 envelopes and ran into trouble. No preset paper size seemed to appear in the native driver. I tried making a custom paper size approximating the #10, but jobs printed with this either failed or would print incorrectly.

Great printer.

Jim Danielson, Amazon
24 March 2014
  • Summary: I had to get a new printer. I had an old model Samsung, which they no longer produce. So I found this model and it works as good as the old one it even has more features. It is a good buy for the price. If this one ever goes bad I will buy another. Very satisfied with it.

Good but not great

David T. Johnson, Amazon
4 March 2014
  • Summary: Price is crazy low for the overall quality. The quality of the print is good. Have not done any photos so can't speak for that. Takes more time to come out of sleep mode than it actually takes to print one page. Has a manual feed that can only take one page, (that's a limitation for me) and...about half of the time the manual feed prints crooked - and that's a deal breaker for a 5 start product. So..

Excellent

Birgit G., Amazon
1 March 2014
  • Summary: This printer replaces a Samsung ML-1450, which I have been using for years. It still works well, but the price of the replacement cartridge was nearly as much as this new one. The quality and speed of Samsung ProXpress SL-M3320ND Monochrome Printer is impressive; easy set-up.

Good printer if you can wake it up, not ready for cloud print

jm "jm685", Amazon
11 January 2014
  • Summary: The printer is always 'offline' and nothing I can do changes it. Pressing any button on the printer, even turning it off and on doesn't work. Even the setup is a problem if you are using Chromebooks or Chomeboxes. All instructions assume you have a PC or MAC. When you buy a Samsung "Google Cloud Print Ready" device, it should be simple to set up and connect to it with a Chromebook...but I had to work hard to figure it out.

Not great

Jen the forms and letterhead user, Staples
10 January 2014
  • Excerpt: The machine is quiet and is good for a frequent user who does not plan on using the paper tray. The paper tray sucks up more than one sheet, crumples paper and is really inefficient. Had to return it.
  • Pros: Quiet
  • Cons: Paper Tray Is Horrible
