The cost per page is too damn high.

David M. Freed, Amazon
7 January 2014
  • Summary: I work in a small office and do a lot of printing. I also do tech support. This printer is not only difficult to get networked but also uses some of the most expensive toner in the office. For large print jobs it costs only slightly less than a nickle per page, not including the price of paper.

Dead on arrival

not that tom "tommyboy", Amazon
2 June 2013
  • Summary: Now to be fair to Samsung, this was a Warehouse Deal item, but was listed 'As New.' Inside the box I found the Return Authorization from whom I assume was the original purchaser. So, did Amazon test this unit or was it just repackaged and sent to the next purchaser?

Network Setup? Don't Bother!

EssEmm "Phys424", Amazon
13 December 2012
  • Summary: I set up computers and network printers for a living. I purchased this Samsung to install over LAN for a group of computers to use. The problem is that I have not been able to set this printer up and print to it. Samsung support tells me there is no factory reset.

Defective Printer

CARL D., Newegg
25 April 2012
  • Summary: This is the first problem I've ever had with a Samsung product, I am a very loyal Samsung fan and product owner from phones (Galaxy SII) to big screen TVs (56" HDTV). I don't really want to spend a fortune returning it to Newegg, and I certainly don't want the hassle.
  • Pros: Good price (due to Newegg's deal was $90 with free shipping) Duplex printing Very easy to use for non-standard formats (such as printing addresses on envelopes) Very fast printing
  • Cons: Defective unit and/or toner. I used the factory toner which shipped with unit and the first 50 pages or so printed well. There were some lines on a few of the pages but I was willing to accept this. Then every page started printing completely black. I started a 40 page print job and found to my d...

Printer and Toner Price Sucks

Anonymous, Newegg
18 February 2012
  • Pros: Price on the Special from New Egg
  • Cons: My biggest concern is that I CANNOT FIND TONER For lest than $70. (I paid $69.99 for the full product.) I have even shopped the online sub market. NOTHING. Printer works ok. I will throw it away shortly and go back to my HP. I have 5 of them at my office. Never a problem getting anything.

Samsung Customer Service NIGHTMARE

Junior, Amazon
15 February 2012
  • Summary: Printer manufactured and shipped with missing hardware component. We all saw the commercials about Peggy in Sibera customer service, well Samsung was the model, only mine began with an India type person named "Dennis".

NOT compatible with high yield toner

Brendon Redick, Amazon
2 February 2012
  • Summary: Purchased specifically because it was supposed to work with MLT-D205E high yield toner. Samsung changed their compatibility specs and now the larger toner is no longer supported with the printer.

paper jams all the time

Planck, Amazon
17 December 2011
  • Summary: This is the worst printer I have ever had. Since the first day I have been using it (it's been almost a month) I constantly get paper jams. I followed each and every step on 'how to avoid paper jams' manuals on every single website: not fill the tray to capacity, use high quality office paper, make...
