Summary: Quick Verdict: This tank of a laser will last you forever, take up very little room, and save you a bundle on ink. Works with Apple's Airport wireless printing. Full Review: I picked up this printer for college in 2003 when it was still new. I still have the ML-1710 and I refuse to upgrade because I have no complaints that would be remedied by picking up a newer laser printer.
Summary: I love this printer. It is fast enough (17 ppm) has a toner saver, gives no trouble and is very cheap to refill the toner cartridge which is also easy to refill. It is small but heavy enough to resist moving around on my desk. I holds about 100 sheets of paper which is enough for a lot of printing for a small home office. Plus it produces a fantastic copy. What more can I say. I have owned several of these printers before I retired and none have given me any problems.
Summary: This laser printer is compact, warms up quickly, uses a USB hook-up, has toner cartridges that are reasonably priced - what else can I say? I wanted something like this for the many documents that I print - especially for homeschool. I did not want to spend the extra money on color or wireless, although both those features would be nice and will probably happen in the future in our home - but for now, I have an inkjet for my color docs and this for nearly 99% of the...
Summary: I've bought several of these printers for several people, several years ago. They have performed flawlessly. I used one to print a club's newsletter for a year, which required refilling the cartridge with toner several times. The print quality was more than adequate. I ran off 12,000 pages on the same cartridge, after refilling it several times with toner available on eBay. Total cost, minus paper, was about $125.00, or one cent per copy.
Summary: I been using this printer for over a year, it is really fast, compact it fit nicelly in my messy desk and it was really cheap. I recoment it. Does someone has any good experience with generic toner from ebay?
Summary: I've owned this printer for over a year now and I LOVE it. I print a lot of text and it has never given me a problem. I highly recommend this printer if you are using it for text. Not recommended for pictures. Its not noisy. Clean prints.
Summary: We have three of these printers in the office hooked up to a single windows PC with printer sharing and pooling turned on so output simply goes to the next available printer. At 17 pages/min these printers shoot out print jobs like printers costing 10 times as much! With 3 of them working in tandem, we achieve 50 pages/min output!!!! The 600 dpi resolution is crisp and clear. The toner lasts about 5k pages and is super-easy to remove and replace.

Summary: I've had this printer for over a year. Under OS 9 it was indeed fast, but with different versions of OS X the Samsung's performance is disappointing at best. In terms of speed, I have not experienced 17 ppm. Often I get a performance of about 2 ppm. They had an older driver that worked better, but I have not been able to find it anymore. A visit to Samsung's website reveals they have no Mac drivers listed at all.
