Summary: Great printer, but doesn't hold much paper. I used mine for almost seven years -- bought it in early 2008 for $199 and it just died this morning. I certainly wouldn't pay $599 like some seller is asking .... old technology now.
Summary: $599 ??? WOW!! I bought mine (brand new) in 2010 through Amazon. The total price was $96.99. Liked it so much that I bought another for my wife at same price. I'm just amazed how much the price has increased. I love everything about it except the minor annoyance of a relatively small paper tray. I'm just now writing the review because I noticed the price increase while looking for a new toner cartridge. Noticed that the cartridges have increased from $29 to $89.
Summary: I order from Amazon all the time. Today this printer arrived. It is all scratched up very visible all over the top, was filthy dirty with sand or grain dirt, had all kinds of hair stuck to the bottom of the printer. I ordered this for one of the Doctors offices. I decided to get some wipes to clean it up. I am disappointed that someone would not take pride in selling their product & was ok with shipping it to a customer who spent $300 for it.
Summary: Reliable and always ready to perform when I need it. I thought I needed a new ink cartridge but remembered that at work [many moons ago] we use to take it out and gently rock back and forth. That fixed it. Thought I'd order a new cartridge just to be prepared. New one has been sitting there unused for over six months.
Don't buy a new computer this printer will no longer work
30 June 2013
Summary: This printer works fine with older computers but I bought a new mac book and Samsung has not put out any software updates to work with the new OS. Very disappointing as I did like the simplicity of this printer. Not looking forward to finding a replacement printer now.
Summary: I like this printer quite a bit. It looks nice, to start. But it's not all in the looks... It's quick, seems to be efficient, relatively quiet... I think the only thing that doesn't translate in the picture is the fact of the little cheap plastic tray you have to attach to where the paper comes out. That sort of diminishes the clean lines of the printer... However, this is purely an aesthetic criticism.
Summary: This is a great laser printer that is sleek, quiet and great quality prints. I used all through my Doctoral program printing pages and pages of paper. It withstood the abuse and still going strong (going on a year and a half). I'm quite pleased with this product. As for wireless printing, no luck with that but I do own an apple and have read other users having issues with macs. I like the way it looks- not bulky, not an eye sore, and very light.
Summary: For someone who is not particularly tech-friendly, this printer is so simple to operate I can actually sleep at night without worry! In fact, it is so quiet in operation that I can also sleep while it puts out my printing at about 27ppm. Its sleek in that piano black finish and is compact on my desk next to my computer. Quite a handsome piece of technology that I'm looking forward to having for quite a while.
Summary: I have this printer about a few weeks, and I like it, but it is a little bit too big for traveling. I have seen some printers half of it's size, but double it's price. I fond it a little bit difficulty to set up with my one year old Dell Window 7 laptop. The disc come with this printer didn't help. Than I remembered some body had mentioned about down load the driver from the internet of Samsung's web page. I did and it worked.
