Excerpt: I've had this printer for years. In fact I can no longer remember how I got it, but I did, somehow. It's a value printer, that much is clear, it looks cheap but it is small and kind of compact for a laser printer. It only prints black and white, because it's laser, but I now have a photo printer for times when black and white isn't enough. Most of the time it performs OK.
Excerpt: We bought our Samsung ML1510 quite a few years ago from ebuyer.com, when my wife was doing her BA in English and Combined Arts. At the time she needed a reliable printer with a prodigious rate of output for all the essays and literary critiques, not to mention the dissertation. Previous to that we had used an Epson inkjet, but this cost us a lot of money with replacement cartridges as attempting to refill them was a messy experience and none-too-successful at that.
Pros: Robust and dependable with admirable longevity
Excerpt: When I was 11 years old and my brother was 13, we both sold our bikes, which we seldom used, in order to get money to buy ourselves a printer for our Acorn Electron. I was a Citizen Swift 9pin dot matrix printer, one of the best colour printers about at the time. For many years it got used as our only printer, I seem to remember, it later got used attached to our Commodore Amigas to print out essays etc for school.
Excerpt: - Overview - This printer is small in size, but still packs a punch. As a lazer printer, it can print out huge documents very quickly, saving alot of time when it comes to printing. Aswell, it also saves alot of money, as it doesn't require the amount of ink that conventional printers need. Size wise, this printer is small and compact, making it easierly fit on my desk. This printer has gotten me out of many sticky jams with documents, and hasn't let me down yet.
Excerpt: During the first year of my masters course I found that I was having to print out about 100-150 pages a week in handouts for our "problem based learning" classes which, as you can imagine, became rather costly on my other printer - an HP Photosmart 7150 - so I decided that the time had come to consider a laser printer. I had a quick google around to see what kind of things were sensible prices and with decent reviews, and then wandered over to ebay.
Pros: Far cheaper than an inkjet for black & white stuff
Cons: Toner is very expensive but you can use refills !
Excerpt: I purchased this printer just over a year ago as it was on offer for only £49 at Dabs and my work had just purchased some Samsung printers for use in our offices and they seemed good for the money. I have used it for printing photos as well as multi-layered text (watermarks) and always get great results. Of course you won't get the same kind of quality with pictures as a £200+ printer would give with a higher resolution but it does itself proud.
Pros: Small and easy to use
Cons: Costs more to buy a new toner than the printer
Excerpt: I purchased the Samsung 1510 from P.C. World for an amazing £43.99 as they were on special offer. What a bargain. I edit and print a newsletter for my club and required an inkjet printer to speed up the process. I purchased the Samsung 1510 as it was cheap but on printing the first newsletter on this machine found that the quality was excellent - just like a book or newspaper.
Excerpt: i have owned my samsung ml 1510 for over four years. it has just packed up and i am looking to replace it. it has done well over 60,000 pages without a glitch i have only refilled the original cartridge twice in all that time and it was still printing qaulity print until 25/4/09. all in all i would say it is exceptional value for your money.
Excerpt: As a student who rarely has a need for colour printouts and for the most part, someone who prints out text simply because it's easier to read on paper, a cheap laser printer seemed a great improvement over my, slow, old, ink guzzling ink-jet. The 1510 fit the bill perfectly. At the time it was priced at a bargain £49.99 making it comparable to many inkjets. It's clearly the cheapest and potentially the smallest laser out there.
Excerpt: This is an excellent printer. It is fast, compact & highliy efficient and cost effective. The Toner Save mode prints excellent quality pages but at an extremely cost effect price. Having only had inkjet printers before this was definitly worth it. I saved the cost with the free toner cartridge that it would have cost me just to keep refilling my old Lexmark Inkjet printer.
