Summary: I purchased this printer in 2001 while working on my Master's degree. It held up to major research printing. For the past 3 years I have used it at work and it gets a daily workout. For the past few weeks I have had a lot of problems with the paper feed. I have been trying to "baby" it because I love this printer. I have come to the realization that it is time to replace this work horse. It is a sad day!!!! I have been reading up on printers but none seem to compare.
Summary: I have had this model printer for 4 years now and it has never failed me. I have it on a print server and my son and wife use it daily. I am on my fourth toner cartridge (one a year), and considering the use I'm very pleased.
Summary: I've had this printer about 5 years now with no problems. I'm on my 3rd toner cartridge. The start toner that came in the package was great. I printed at least 7 movie scripts with it and it still printed great. I've had no problems with this unit unlike the other poster. I would definitely recommend this printer and this brand. I'm shopping now for my girlfriend and am looking for Samsung printers.
Summary: I had this printer for a just over a year before it started giving an error code. I called Samsung and was told it was something to do with a heating component and I had to get it professionally repaired for upto a couple hundred bucks (which is more then the printer itself). I didn't used the printer much - didn't even go through the first toner cartridge. Maybe it was a one off but the customer service they gave was just up to par either.
Summary: The "pickup roller" became cracked and stopped feeding paper (except for very thick papers such as envelopes) after three years. A replacement pick up roller (actually a 7/8" wide rubber "band" that fits over a cam you can partially see near the back of the printer when you open the front of the printer and take out the toner cartridge), Samsungparts.com part number JC73-00018A for $4.95 + $5.95 shipping, a #2 Phillips screwdriver, a utlility knife (to cut off the old...

Summary: I am burying this Samsung ML-1210 printer today, after failing to resuscitate it. It seems that it is unable to load paper. I checked the online faqs, followed the instructions, but, alas, to no avail. My previous laser printer was an HP and it cost 5 times as much and lasted only about twice as long. This Samsung lasted under 3 years. The price was right, but the toner was expensive and not available from other sources. The paper feeder has been the weakest link.
Summary: I have owned this printer for 2+ years and still works without a glitch. Love that I can use a USB connection. First things first. This printer is exactly what it says. A personal or SOHO laser printer. It cannot do (efficiently) large graphics files or support dozens of users without noted slowness. It has just 8 MB of RAM so keep that in mind when you are planning on a printer purchase. I print just basic stuff..
Excellent personal printer - too bad its discontinued!

Summary: This is a great personal laser printer. I hate inkjets due to high ownership costs, slow speeds, and low print quality. This laser printer is fast, high quality, and cheap to run. It works great on my usb hub or parallel port and is quick to warm up. Printing a large document isn't a problem and I rarely find myself waiting for a print job to finish because it's so fast.
Summary: I had a laser printer for about 5 years and had so many problems with it. Finally I was sick of dealing with messy toner cartridges, paper jams, etc., so I asked my brother to find me a good deal on a good qualitity printer. I'm in grad school, so I don't have a lot of money and I need a printer that can handle high quantity. He found this Samsung printer on Amazon and felt it was a good deal. I am SOOOO happy with it!
