Worst printer

Robert M., Newegg
17 November 2015
  • Pros: Worked well for a while, but see problems listed below.
  • Cons: Printed text excellent, but pictures were washed out right from the start. Started with a Power PC and had window that allowed you to adjust paper type, etc. Went to a Intel Mac and the window for adjustment disappeared. Called Samsung many times and downloaded latest software and could not get t...

Worst. Printer. Ever.

John M., Newegg
28 September 2014
  • Pros: When it works, it does what's expected.
  • Cons: never connected to wireless; new network necessitated resetting IP but it's own software won't recognize it. It's basically bricked.

Don't buy it!!!!!!! Don't waste your hard earned money on this piece of JUNK!!!!!!!!!

reviewer "reviewer", Amazon
11 December 2012
  • Summary: I have had this printer since last March. I used it literally a handful of times to print some color labels for my biz and for a handful of blk and white prints. It started having a stripe pattern on the left hand side of the page ruining several labels- this happened two days ago.

Terrible print quality

Wesley M., Newegg
23 April 2012
  • Pros: None
  • Cons: Poor, poor print quality. Initial toner didn't last long at all and new toner is crazy expensive. Literally can't make out text after printing.

Samsung Printer Broke Twice in Two Months

La Canada Mom, Amazon
13 April 2012
  • Summary: This Samsung printer has been a waste of time and money. After working for a few weeks, it stopped working wirelessly. I sent it in for repair. They sent it back after about two weeks and it worked for two weeks; then it stopped printing wired or wirelessly.

Huge disappointment

Walter B., Newegg
10 March 2012
  • Summary: Unfortunately I bought this on sale a few months back and have been putting off installing it (dreading something like this) so the NewEgg 30 day return policy has expired. The manufacturer's warranty says 1 year parts and labour which means I'll probably never get a working printer.
  • Pros: Looks pretty.
  • Cons: Won't load paper. Dims the lights in the house every time you turn it on and every few seconds until you turn it off. The plate on the back says 4.5 amps which is 540 watts. I think it's a lot more than that. Also stinks like something is burning. Instructions are nearly indecipherable and look l...

Poor support

Michael M., Newegg
9 March 2012
  • Summary: Bought it to use in my dental office. It initially worked well and the print quality is very good. The cost of ownership has been high however as the printer drinks toner like beer at a frat party. The killer though is reliability.
  • Pros: Excellent print quality, nice compact size, relatively quiet operation
  • Cons: Poor reliability, high cost of operation (frequent toner replacement), very poor tech support

Great printing but jams after sitting

Jeremy D., Newegg
18 February 2012
  • Summary: Not worth the money in my opinion and Samsung's support is severely lacking.
  • Pros: Machine has great print quality. Suited my home needs fine for print quality in color or black and white.
  • Cons: After sitting for a while and then trying to print, the unit will jam or crinkle the paper. Once past the first bad sheet or two, can print to your hearts content, until you let it sit for a while again. Chatted with Samsung support who were physicians of no value. They had me shake the toner, re...

Don't waste your time

Lisa M., Newegg
4 February 2012
  • Summary: Previously had CLP-315 and figured I would upgrade. New model is nothing like the old version. The 325 model jams constantly, and when it doesnt jame, it takes at least three times as long as the 315 did to print.
  • Pros: Nothing
  • Cons: Jams constantly Useless Support

Avoid it like the plague

Mr. M., Newegg
25 January 2012
  • Summary: Purchased the previous version of this printer and it's pretty much the same except for the wireless printing. When the paper actually fed and didn't jam, it printed beautifully. I took it to a repair center and it seems it just sat on their shelf as they billed Samsung for warranty work they didn't...
  • Pros: Small footprint, great prints
  • Cons: Won't feed properly - jammed constantly
