Summary: I've had two of these printers. The first lasted a couple of years, and it was cheaper to buy a new one than repair the old one. This one I bought for my wife. These printers are quit and print quality is excellent. They aren't the fastest printers in the world but for most home use they are excellent. They're easy to use, and cost of toner carts is only slightly more than that of an HP inkjet cart.
High quality printing, but paper tray could be improved
25 February 2011
Summary: It was easy to set up once out of the box; however it did not come with it's own USB cable! Fortunately we had one lying around but a $150 printer should come with its own. Love the sleek black design. Paper tray feels like it's about to break every time I remove and re-insert it, and there is an expandable end to the tray that almost requires three hands to work and is very frustrating.
Summary: Samsung has a "smart panel" utility for this printer off of their website. Levels of toners were more than 60% for each color. The error identified was simply a "toner waste container" issue. After cleaning the container and blowing out the toner dust through out, the printer works fine with great color printing on plain paper.
Great printer, but had to change network WPA2 password
pen name, Amazon

Summary: Once I got the printer connected to my network wirelessly, it was great. The installation instructions were poorly written, and there was a much easier method that support helped me with. Connecting to my network through a cable worked fine, but I had problems connecting wirelessly. The support person could not help me connect to my network wirelessly either. They told me I had to take it in to have the network card exchanged for a new one.
Summary: I've had this printer since just last week and it is working fine. After reading the many user reviews, I was dreading the installation. I found some of the reviewer's information conflicting and or wrong. So here is the complete story of my experience. My objective was to use the printer on my network wirelessly. I installed the printer on two different operating systems on 4 separate computers.
Summary: The Good: It's a laser printer that prints quickly, quietly and wirelessly. The Bad: Color photos are not very good. Wireless setup wasn't a no-brainer but I found it MUCH easier than other reviews on here said. I had it up and running fairly easily on a PC and MAC with a couple small hiccups. The Ugly: I still haven't figured this one out but for some reason, it doesn't automatically wake up from 'Sleep' mode.
Summary: I was going to wait a little bit longer to write the review for this printer but since Amazon started nagging me to write one so I thought I should write one now.I have noticed that this printer has some negative review on the Amazon and I like to share my view with rest of the future owners. I was shooting for the moon when I bought this printer. I bought this for $240 and now, I saw that Amazon is selling it for $170.
Summary: This is the cheapest full color laser printer I could find. The unit is small and compact. The setup was a little problematic for the wifi network and I ended up connecting it by ethernet cable. The print quality is very good, print speeds are good enough. The toner cartridges seem a little small and the cartridges are not as available as the ones for the CLP 300, making them a little more expensive. Overall, this is a good buy and I'm pleased with the purchase.
Summary: This printer is a good deal. The only draw back is, that it is slow at printing. Also, I purchased this refurbished. The seller receives the printers directly from Samsung and mine was in bad shape when I received it. It was missing the little black rubber footies on the bottom of the printer, so ti wobbles a little bit, and the toner cartridges were already installed in it, and during shipping toner got all over in the inside of the box.
