The Samsung CLP-315's small size, breakthrough low price, and eye-catching color make it the personal color laser of choice. Read more

    • Color laser printing at a breakthrough price. Small. Reasonably high-quality output overall. Vibrant color graphics.
    • Although its text quality is good enough for most business purposes, it's a touch below par for a laser.

This very inexpensive color laser printer from Samsung will fit the bill for small and home offices that need sharp and clear color prints. It's quiet but not all that fast, which isn't a major issue unless you need to print a lot. A networkable version (not tested) adds a level of convenience. It's not as stylishly futuristic as some of Samsung's other recent offerings, but it has a very small footprint. All in all, a good entry-level color laser printer. Read more

The CLP-315 is a serious contender to inkjets. Colour laser is ready to enter the homes and no longer only be office equipment. Remember however that at this price, inkjets are multifunction : they can copy, they can scan…and more often than not have wireless connectivity. You will get none of that here. Read more

As far as control buttons and dials go, the Samsung has a stop button on top and a power switch on the rear. Period. The former serves various functions in addition to canceling a print job, such as printing a network configuration report with an alarming amount of information when pressed and held down. The CLP-315W offers a generally excellent out-of-the-box experience. Read more

The Samsung CLP-315 is relatively light on dimensions and rather pleasing to look at. For home users who need to run off numbers of text documents mixed in with the odd colour image, this printer's £135 price makes it an enticing buy. Just don't expect it to run at a blistering pace. Read more

Low Cost Colour Laser For those who don’t have a colour Laser printer, and who are not very willing to spend big bucks on one, the Samsung CLP 315 is one of the best solutions. Giving decent all round performance and not hitting very hard on the pocket. The Samsung CLP 315 standing at 9.6 by 15.3 by 12.3-inches is indeed the world’s smallest colour Laser printer and with its small footprint and nice looks it is good enough to be put up along with a desktop computer,... 1. Wi-Fi broken, customer service inferior

After a while the Wi-Fi stopped working. The printer was still on warranty, so I was hoping to have it fixed. Unfortunately, several calls to customer support did not help and consumed way too much time. On two occasions the representative asked for my phone number and told me to expect a call from some tech expert who would help me, it did not happen. Eventually the warranty ended and the printer is still not fixed. Read more

The first one I had stopped recognizing new cartridges after about a year. The orange light stayed lit. I turned it off and on, unplugged and plugged back in to "Reset" the machine. No go. I even cleaned out the little toner dust bin. Still nothing. I had new cartridges for the machine and wanted to find it out there again. I thought I get a dud. The second one I found was brand new. Out of the box it worked great. Read more

After years of constantly cleaning clogged print heads and throwing away half-full dried-out ink carts I longed for an affordable color laser. The CLP-315, which I got on sale for $135, was an answer to my needs. I've owned this printer for nearly a year and it has been an excellent performer. Colors are crisp and vibrant, and despite what I had been told about lasers, photos printed beautifully. Read more

This is my first review for quite some time so bear with me if I am a little rusty! Background to my purchase I invested in a Samsung CLP 315 around a year ago. At the time, I deliberated on whether to purchase a so-called “laser” printer like this or stick to the “inkjet” printers I have always had previously. I did a little research into the two and decided to take the plunge on a laser printer. I will come to why I decided this later. Read more
