Good printer; disgraceful support;

BentFellow, CNET

  • Summary: I have a Samsung Blu-Ray, a computer monitor, and a CLP 320 Colour Laser. I was very satisfied with all products. However, the printer began printing in B&W only after 6 months. My initial contact with CS was helpful and the unit returned to HiNet (Toronto), complete with the toner cartridges on the advice of the agent. The unit required replacement apparently; took almost a month to get back.
  • Pros: Small footprint; decent colour; adequate speed
  • Cons: quit printing colour after 6 mos. of light use; after being told to include the toner, replacement unit was returned without toner. Handling of the return unit by HiNet (Canada repair) was terrible and Samsung completely indifferent.

World's Smallest Colour Laser Printer.

  • Excerpt: Well... this printer does what it claims to do... I just think that the speed for printing colour could be made better like 7ppm at least instead of 4ppm.

Disappointment

rose66226, Ebay
22 November 2010
  • Summary: The description said, "The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear, but is fully operational and functions as intended." However, the item was pretty much an empty shell and could not function because some of the parts were missing. I thnk they should have changed the description as I relied on it when I made my purchase.

Short lived Quality

Overstock
8 March 2008
  • Summary: At first this printer gave a great quality of print, but after 3 weeks of use in my home the print quality deteriorated rapidly. Even black and white documents would not print correctly. After replacing toner with the brand name new Toner cartridges the quality is still poor. Toner does not seem to print well in the center portions of the page.

There is no warranty.

  • Summary: I received a broken unit... (things happen). Samsung tech support will put you on hold for 45 mins, and then tell you that printers (refurbished) are not covered under any warranty. Buyer beware. The printer is good... if it works.. But don't expect any warranty... nor support.

  • Summary: Item delivered with blue toner empty and unusable. Don't expect this item to work right out of the box. Refurbished means tested and to me without a toner, how can it be tested? Again, stay away.

CLP-300 refurb

Overstock
4 December 2007
  • Summary: Refurbished printer was properly serviced before resale. Printed only a handful of pages before mechanical breakdown. Color printing was fair at best. Black and white was good to very good. The price of a new printer makes the purchase of a refurbished printer a bad bet.
