Summary: We have been trying for a year now to get the printer to print color pages without streaks. Ricoh has replaced everything inside photo conductors, genuine Ricoh toner, fuser etc. Also, it will not print correctly on postcard stock. Only have 6000 color prints and a 1000 BW prints. Ricoh sent technicians out twice to fix the issue and neither were able to. Nor are they sending a replacement printer.
Summary: I purchased this printer for my daughter (a graphic designer) for Christmas. Before Christmas I discovered that the wireless feature was an option and not included. I call Ricoh who gave me the part number for the card and referred me to Solutions Management Group (somewhat local dealer service center). Before ordering the $400.00 card from them I specifically asked if when the card is installed printing can be done both Ethernet and wireless and was told yes.
Excerpt: Doesn't have all the bells and whistles but this is our second one because it prints quickly and efficiently. The high yield toner although a bit pricy lasts for 25K pages. For the price this printer is a good value.
Pros: Good Value, Easy to Use, Fast, Easy to Set Up
Excerpt: My husband is a major IT guy and did all the research for laser printers. He had used one like this before at his company but was a larger model higher end model. After researching he return to this brand again. We use this in our home as we have a home business (but use it for our kids and personal use as well) and need to do nice high quality printing at times. Our image is important to us.
Pros: Doesn't Jam, Good Value, Easy to Use, Fast, Quality, Easy to Set Up, Performance
Summary: I work on these printers for a living and choose this one for home use. Love the fact that is uses toner bottles instead of all in one cartridges. I expect to see a substantial cost savings by only replacing the toner. Print quality is very good and the two sided feature saves lots of time.
Summary: Easy set up, high quality printing on various mediums. I'm still working on the starter set of toner cartridges but by the looks of it, I'll get a lot more life from these than my previous printer which will save $'s.
Summary: I'm not a heavy user, but I print several 100+ page reports with approximately 10-20% color a week. I've owned this printer for just over 2.5 years and it's performed flawlessly. My only note is to buy OEM Toner. I tried refilling and replacing the chips in the cartridges. It worked on a few but I got a bad chip and after the rigmarole, it just wasn't worth the effort. The toners are just about the cheapest out there anyway.
