Good for basic usage

Mike Kai, Amazon
10 December 2013
  • Summary: Long term usage shows this is a great laser printer for a cheap price. I have had this model now for over 1 year. Pros: Quick warm up from idle Printing time per page is on par with most other laser printers (as in a lot quicker to print than inkjets, especially for multiple pages) Text quality is clear and crisp on actual text based prints, not so much for images. Works great for everything from Windows XP to Windows 8.1.

GREAT Printer/Scanner/Copier

Brian Lackey, Amazon
19 November 2013
  • Summary: So far so good...I already ran out of the starter toner and refilled with a $5 refill bottle I bought from another bulk toner seller. Good deal! Save a ton on printing!

I can't explain how angry I am with this thing.

Luis Gallardo, Amazon
1 November 2013
  • Summary: First of all, I purchased this item because it appear on websites as if it was mac-compatible and a "wireless" printer. In actuality, it was not mac-compatible and the printer came without the USB cable (hence, wireless). Anyways, since it was a cheap buy, I went ahead and used it for my PC. But after a month of using it (a total of 7 times for simple homework assignments) I start getting an "E7" error message.

Great product; easy setup and nice clean print from the very first page.

  • Summary: Value for the money was the big seller for me. Easy to setup. I don't do much printing and go for weeks without printing. The ink cartridge printer I have always have to run the head cleaner before printing and at times that didn't help. Going with a laser printer that uses powder will fix that problem. I don't have a need to a color print either. Keep the other printer for scanning; have a three shelf stand that I put the two printers on; works great.

For specialized needs, not general printing.

D. STANLEY, Amazon
24 September 2013
  • Summary: We bought a few of these because we needed B&W laser printing in some tight spaces. However, I wouldn't recommend them for general use. While a single SP 100 toner cartridge still has a greater capacity than inkjets, it's output is about half of what comparable desktop laser printers provde: 1200 pages rather than 2000 or 2500, as is the usual capacity for laser printers of this class.

Ricoh Scanner Copier

24 August 2013
  • Summary: This is a compact printer, scanner, copier that is being used out on a construction jobsite. Works well, scans in color, prints in black and white. We'll see how it holds up over time.

Compact and easy to use

John H "rookie", Amazon
19 July 2013
  • Summary: Comparing to other bulky and heavy printers, Ricoh 406944 is a light weighted and compact all-in-one printer, yet, it does the job. I have been using it continuously for more than one month and haven't found any problem. It is definitely a good buy for an all-in-one printer with this price.

Good Product , value for money

jamesduraiswamy, Ebay

  • Summary: This is nice compact laser printer. Start up time is little slow, however, print quality is superb. Driver wise, this supports only Windows. Mac drivers have been discontinued. If you are purchasing for an Apple product, you may have a problem. Rather strange that a company such as Ricoh just abandoned the huge apple users.

12,000 pages per toner cartridge? WRONG

J. Brand, Amazon
1 July 2013
  • Summary: The toner cartridge is rated at 1,200 pages average. NOT 12,000. While a decent printer for the price, I too bought it because of the astounding claim that it printed 12,000 per cartridge. That's not what the manual says. And I've gone through 3 cartridges and I only get about 950 pages. So don't buy this because you think you'll get 12,000 pages per toner, because that is a gross misprint.
