Summary: There were three requirements that I had when selecting a printer for my field work: low enough wattage to run off a power inverter, color ink, and ink that doesn't run when it gets wet. The only one that fit the bill as of May 2014 was this Ricoh ink gel printer. Why not laser or inkjet?
Summary: I used this printer for high volume color printing jobs over the course of 2 years. The coloration is great. It's pretty good on ink usage. It's got a good page per minute speed. Unfortunately, it's dead in the water now. The printer gets stuck in a start-up loop and will no longer function.
Summary: For those with questions on drivers. First pic Sawgrass Driver. 2nd pic is Ricoh Driver Either driver will control the ink flow and both allow manual changes Check for compatibility for driver with computer operating system.
Don't buy this machine if using for sublimation, because ...

Summary: Don't buy this machine if using for sublimation, because it doesn't s support the sawgrass technology. This only work in Australia. Ricoh Aficio SG 3110DN will work perfectly for you sublimation need(s), I am having problem right now.
Summary: DO NOT buy this for sublimation. There are NO DRIVERS for Sawgrass Ink and Sawgrass states that you should NOT use this printer for sublimation. If you call Sawgrass they will tell you that PCNation KNOWS this because they are a reseller.
Summary: I was really interested in this printer because it seemed (on paper) to solve the issues with inkjet printing. So I bought one for work to try out as a possible replacement for our Dell 2330dn and 2350dn black laser printers. After trying a few things, it won't be that replacement.
Summary: Ricoh needs to improve their networking. The first printer was warrantied due to its inability to stay connected to the network (wired), it was necessary to re-boot the printer 6 or 7 times a day. Second printer was a 90% improvement, but still drops connection randomly for no apparent reason.
Summary: I like the printer , but there is no warning about Sawgrass Inc. Will not support this printer with there Sublimation ink ?? esspessaly when the ink cost $325. I would have not bought this Printer. You need a 3110 DN not a 3110 DNW they do not support Wireless ??????
