A fun photo printer that you can get cheap. Supplies are hard to find.

Summary: These printers used to be state of the art photography tools. Now days, they make for fun entertainment. Being obsolete means it's getting very hard to find cheap supplies but it also means you can pick them up very cheap. I use mine at parties and for the occasional hard copy when needed.
Summary: This is a good printer, however, be forewarned that it is not compatible with Windows 7, 64-bit computers. I contacted Olympus and was advised that no printer drivers exist (or are planned) that would enable the P-440 to work with such Windows 7, 64-bit computers.
Summary: I needed it for my photography. I just hope that I can find supplies for it in the future. I purchased one before, but it was damaged and because I did not open it right away... I was stuck with it. Is there anyone that can repair them.
Summary: I use this printer for on-site event printing. With a fixed cost of about $1.50 per image you know how to price your work for sale. Good quality images and fast for an 8x10 image. The colors are great and the image detail is very good also.
Summary: The Olympus P-440 Photo Printer produces fantastic 8"x10" Photo Dye Sublimation prints. We have produced several hundred prints with this printer over the past 5 years and never had any problems at all.
Summary: I owned the P400 prior to the P440 and I bought the P440 for true 8x10" prints since the P440 produced slightly smaller prints. I have used both printers for hundreds of 8x10" prints (400 to one customer and 150 to another plus hundreds of individual 8x10 prints and thousands of business card size...

Summary: I bought the printer 6 months ago and after a few months of great pictures there was a white line that developed on the pictures. I had a 1 year warranty to get it repaired and so I sent it to the Olympus Repair Service via mail in great condition. It only had an internal problem.
Summary: I was worried about spending 500.00 for a printer, which I knew nothing about, but after reading reviews on Google.com I felt comfortable about doing it. The quality comes out great. You can't go wrong with getting this printer.
