Excerpt: What a great printer. I run a non profit and our budget for new office items is very limited and for the cost of this and the quality of the work this printer does is great. I would recommend you check out its features. Great black and white printing and the cartridges print closes to its estimated number of prints.
Summary: PPM is great, but start up NOT as fast as stated. Takes at least 10 seconds from clicking print to it printing unless you've printed something else within the last 20 seconds or so. It goes into a type of sleep mode and takes forever to warm back up to print a new job. Like everything else about it, very efficient, seems to last a long time. LOVE that it's LED. Just REALLY wish the time to print was faster!
Summary: Just a little after 12 months the printer is dead. Code "134 LED" error is either the motherboard or LED printhead. Out of warranty cost is $252 for them just to look at but you have to ship it back to them at your cost. It costs new $250 on Amazon, so since it's out of warranty, it's now a 30 lb. paperweight. Even when working the print quality was just okay. The print drivers were also nothing to write home about (difficult to install and limited options/features).
Summary: Bought this printer in January 2013. It's lightly used - 40K sheets a year max. Error said: Paper Jam. No paper stuck ANYWHERE in printer. Check. Re-checked. Oki preferred service provider quotes $99 if we bring it in - 16 mile drive. Found a tech nearby who came to my office. For $50 I found out the Blue Locking Paper Tab on the back of the paper tray has a tendency to come unlocked. It then allows the paper to ride back 1/4 inch in the tray or so.
Summary: I needed a fast and economical black/white/greyscale printer for home/college use and went for this OKI. I've had it for around 2 years now and still haven't had to change the toner cartridge. It does a great job with letters, papers, and graphics. It warms up fast and prints quickly. Advanced power options save electricity and it has an easy to follow LCD menu screen. I have no complaints with the machine.
Summary: A little heavy but have had no issues with it since purchase. haven't tried any other paper other than standard 8.5x11. works technically well. i'd recommend this printer. best bang for the buck.
Summary: I purchased this printer one year ago and it worked fine for the first 6 months. For the last 6 months I have lived with terrible quality printing. Lines are present where they should not be, print is missing and the entire page has a light gray haze over it. It appear to need a new drum. Checking the printer usage menu it says the printer has 50% drum life remaining and that I have printed 12,758 pages. This is unacceptable.
