Pros: The model I have has three different ways to connect this printer up: Network, Parallel, and USB. I know some don't recommend using more than one at a time, but I have used all three at the same time for different networks and it worked fine. Printer still prints nice after a years use.
Summary: We got this printer as a test unit. The whole unit just feels cheaply made. After about a month of light use it started leaving the paper covered in a light layer of toner. I wouldn't recommend this printer for the price.
Summary: I've had 6 Okidata printers before this one, and asides from my ML180 dot matrix, this is probably the best. I wore the other LED/Laser models out over the years. I bought a second unit for my mother, and she loves it because she just needs to put paper in occasionally.
Pros: Starts printing fairly quickly from power save mode, excellent text quality. Fairly quiet compared to other brands. Stable PS & PCL drivers. Solid build quality.
Cons: Only comes with one paper tray. The price of the accessories for Okidata printers is fairly high. The 2nd paper tray was (at the time of purchase) about the same price I paid for the printer. Ethernet port is only 100Mb, would prefer Gigabit. Memory expansion was also expensive but I found a work...
Pros: I work in finance, and my job requires printing fairly long text-based documents such as annual reports, quarterly reports, etc. Therefore I had a very specific need - a workhorse printer that can churn out double-sided pages of (mostly) text. I wasn't looking for one of those "all in one" printe...
Cons: I hear the toner cartridge refills are expensive, but that's probably true for most printers.
Summary: Will not buy an Oki printer ever again. Should have stuck with HP.
Pros: Decent speed and print quality.
Cons: Died 13 months after 13 months of use. Error "134" which is either the motherboard or LED printhead, per Oki service rep. Cost to just have Oki look at it is more than the cost of a new printer. For a small office environment, this is the only laser printer I've ever purchased that has failed to ...
Summary: This is our go to printer. With very low overhead software it will work for a large or small network print environment. Cost per page seems good. We've got one as a primary printer for a 10 person business that's been going for 3 years all day long just printing out pages without so much as a...
Pros: Inexpensive Network Print with Duplex Fast Printing Low overhead software
Cons: Hard to clean (if you spill toner) Toner special order (not at your local office store)
Summary: Just came back to get another one for a friend that has been having all kinds of trouble with inkjet.
Pros: This thing is awesome. I have it hooked to my router and 8 computers access it wired and wirelessly through the router. I loaded the driver software disc into each computer, some with XP, XP Pro, Vista 64 bit, 7 and a Mac Mini with OSX before Maverick came out. The most interesting thing about th...
Pros: Great printer, one of the best I have ever owned. I replaced two Brother HL-5240 printers with this one. The Brothers were very nice printers, but this Oki is nicer made. I plan to buy one more as a back up in the next few weeks.
Cons: It was a bit stinky when it printed the first hundred pages. It give you a blast of a chemical smell as the paper feeds out. I asked the Oki tech about this while calling in to figure out how the front paper feed works. They said it has a very hot toner fuser and that is what you smell. The smell...
Summary: This is my 2nd B431dn, and this one I got for the amazing price of $154.98, basically half price. This one I setup for my mother, took maybe 5 minutes to get it un-boxed, plugged in and setup on the network.
Pros: Quiet, Fast, easy setup, durable, duplexes, and very good consumables.
Cons: Ethernet isn't gigabit, stock RAM is a bit low, accessories from Oki are outrageously priced. Prints with large areas of gray or black exhibit some banding, but it's not terrible, and doesn't detract from the overall print quality.
Phenomenal! Where have you been all my years OKI??

Summary: So tired of HP/Brother/Dell/etc. games with inkjet cartridges that have a count set or "expiration date" on the ink. My HP all-in-one inkjet L7780 suddenly stopped working and told me the cyan cartridge was past it's expiration date. All attempts to reset, reseat, and finally replace it failed.
Pros: FAST FAST FAST! I thought I would have to spend $500+ to get a fast laser printer. NOT THE CASE with OKI! Really easy setup. I set the IP to manual using the small 3 inch LCD window on the printer itself and it was easy as pie.
Cons: It wasn't free?!? I couldn't possibly list a con for this printer.
