Summary: I just received the printer, but I can't use it because it is missing power cord and CD! I have always had very good experience buying computer stuff on Amazon so this is very surprising! So I called customer service at Lexmark and they said they will ship those out to me. Hopefully I will get them in four or five business days. And yes, you do have to buy your own USB cable and ink.
Summary: a good ink concept for easy print on documents, especially. However it did not go into my windows vista operating system, not yet anyway. It was not listed on my plug n' play for vista. It did go into my windows XP, with the install disc relatively problem free. Nice price too.
Summary: I had the exact same printer previously and it worked fine. I had to finally replace it. I did so by buying the exact same printer. However, I have not been able to get working on the exact same computer. I tried it on someone elses computer and it worked just fine. I have troubleshooted over 10 times for many many hours with no results. I contacted Lexmark over the phone and they couldn't get it to work. Then the emailed a direct link to have the printer downlowded.
Summary: The product was priced very reasonably but the price is evident in the printing quality. This is a good printer for items that do not require high quality, but if you plan to print pictures or other items that require high quality, you may want to invest a little more money for one that is "higher up the line." Overall, it is fine for what I had intended it for, install was easy and I have yet to replace ink so I am unsure what that will cost.
Summary: So, i've had this printer for a few years. I came free with my laptop (now gone). The printer itself has quite a cheap feel to it. The casing is white plastic with a small amount of grey on it. It has 2 buttons, one being the power button and the other is a paper feed button, which i find i have to use quite alot as the printer has some troubles finding the paper on its own. The printer uses up sooooo quickly! and the ink is quite expensive for this model.
Pros: Cheap, Basic, Easy to install
Cons: Poor quiality prints, Ink runs out quick and is expensive
Summary: We have this printer at the office at work and I was the one who had to install it and use it. It was second hand so I can't talk about what came in the box etc as we didn't have any of that. *Design* The printer has a very basic box design using mainly white and grey colouring. The printer looks both old fashioned and modern at the same time. It has a grey upright paper tray at the back, and a pull out grey paper tray at the front to catch the print outs.
Pros: Cheap initial cost, simple to use, good for first time users
Cons: Fairly poor quality prints, no seperate black ink cartridge, ink soon runs out
Lexmark Z735: From the back of a lorry to your desk
15 July 2010
Summary: The Lexmark Z735 is a pretty average ink jet printer which does nothing more (no scanning) and nothing less than print from your PC. Very inexpensive to buy, you would be forgiven for believing it fell of the back of a lorry and Lexmark just slapped their logo onto it. Therefore this is a pretty bottom-end printer for possible first-time buyers or those technophobes who have been forced into using word processing.
Excerpt: "Lexmark are a fairly well known brand and generally do cheap printers and all in one printer and scanners. The Lexmark Z 735 printer is basic printer and comes with one colour cartridge which will print both colour and black for you however if you likely to be justy printing black then i would suggest buying a black ink cartiridge. However be prepared to fork out at least £20 as lemark ink carts are very pricey. In some cases it is actually better ...
Excerpt: "Well what can i say. I paid 25 pounds for my printer and it has worked flawlessly for 5 months. I have been very pleased witht he value for money on this product. I do have one word of warning though, The paper fill tray is sometimes quite tempermental and will require someone to be watching over it for the duration of the print. This isn't a problem for me as i am usually sat next to it when i do use it. I have also tried using it for a photo printer ...
Excerpt: "The Lexmark Z735 is a very basic printer and is very conventional looking in its square shape. The printer does not have the quality of some more advanced and more expensive printers but for the price you would pay for it, it is definately worth it. The Z735 is a n Ink Jet printer and the cost of the ink cartridges is very reasonable, i have this printer and an Epson CX3200 and i use the Lexmark one for printing out basic documents as it is quicker ...
