great small printer that is user friendly, and priced right
7 May 2011
Summary: the printer works very well, the installation was very easy. i bought this printer as a cheap way to print shipping labels. i do not use it very much, but it is easy to use. a good point is that it is small, and does not take up very much room on my desk. this is a very good product, great for people with minimal computer skills, like myself. or a part time ebayer.
Summary: Inexpensive, compact, quality prints.Only came with color cartridge,Had to spend another 21.95 plus tax to get started.Which meant stopping my install and a trip to Wallymart before I could finish, this was not stated in original listing!.It worked well untill I had to replace the color cartridge which was ordered from Lexmark. The unit never worked right again.Lexmark was helpfull online and offered to replace the unit, but I threw it away and bought a Canon Pixma MP250,All...
Summary: I decided to buy this printer because I was on a budget. It works great and the transaction couldn't have been easier, but...now I run into the same problem I've had with every other printer I've owned. The ink costs more than the printer. I should've checked that out before I bought it and you should too. If you want a decent printer for low cost this is it but keep in mind you could buy another printer whenever you need ink and it would cost less.
LEXMARK Z2300 VERY EXPENSIVE IN INK! REFILLS IMPOSSIBLE
3 January 2010
Summary: DONT GET THIS IF YOU PLAN TO REFILL THE INK CARTRIDGES!!!!!! This is where they get you for the price. Carts are no cheaper than $20 a piece and are built so you CANT refill the cartridges. Chips in the printer and cartridges, sensors, registry serial additions, and fuses that blow. After a year of research with tape, drilling holes, registry fixes, and more, there is no way to refill these easy at all!
