DO NOT BUY if you have windows 8
4 May 2013
Summary: Lexmark DO NOT have a driver for this printer on Windows 8 and have no plans to release one, so if you plan to buy a new PC in the future, be prepared to throw away this Lexmark printer. I have just bought a new PC with Windows 8 and having been unable to find a driver, eventually got onto Lexmark support. Their solution to not having a driver? Buy a new printer from them.
Summary: Stay FAR FAR away from this printer. I brought two of these printers and although the quality of the prints was just fine the same errors codes come up again & again & again (on both printers). I wrote Lexmark & never received a response. The printers are now just paper weights & I moved on to Epson.
Excerpt: Terrible printer. It freezes, and the only way to reset is to physically unplug the power cable (buttons on front freeze as well). I am a Technician for a Community College, and have 3 of these printers on Campus. ALL 3 have given me grief, and are hard to install. XP did not like the drivers(even the most current ones). After finally getting the drivers to work it was still shotty on whether or not it would work on a daily basis.
Excerpt: Bought it cause i though it was a bargain at £60! BUT......I only have it for two months and it needed already 5 ink cadridges!! and i havent printed that much!! I shall probably get rid of it...
