Summary: I don't often write one star reviews, but I have had issues with the network connectivity of the printer, as well as quality issues on my first printer; I am now on my 3rd. The long and short is the network loses its IP address, and for whatever reason doesn't seem to renew itself without a power cycle. I can't rely on the fact that the printer will be ready without having to physically walk over to it and turn it off and then on.
Summary: This is a fantastic printer for the price. It's a very competent low cost small office printer. It's made for a small business setting but if you have a home setting where a lot of printing is done, such as kids with lots of projects and/or a home office this would do the trick too. Comments: - Fast: a max speed of 40 pages per minute due to an internal memory of 256MB and a 800MHz dual-core processor. Most of us in the home setting don't need such a speed.
Summary: By way of disclosure, I received a sample of this product for evaluation purposes. I have used various laser printers over the years and have owned a couple as well (Hewlett Packard LaserJet 2200D, OKI). This is the first Lexmark printer I've used, and it does not disappoint. It was easy to hook up to my PC. I used the ethernet port on the printer rather than USB.
Summary: This Lexmark MS410dn Mono Laser Printer is a solid choice for a small office. This is only Black & White and does not support Wi-Fi, but otherwise this has all of the basic features we need. Set up was very straight forward on our connected LAN, taking roughly 30-min from unboxing to network printing. There was a lot of tape and foam to remove, but the "Quick Start" Guide was easy enough to follow. Installation of the drivers for Network printing was smooth and easy.
