Summary: We now have a total of 15 of these throughout our business. They are realiable and cost per page to print was very competive when you compare to ink jet or HP laser printers. We use these in locations that will print 200 to 400 pages per day. Other locations where volume is higher we put in higher capacity printers.
Summary: I have been using this printer for the last year. We also have the 250 version, which is doing much better. The printer is fast and prints cleanly. I have been very frustrated with the paper jams, as they are become very frequent. This printer is too young to be needing new rollers for feeding the paper. I also don't like the configuration to clear the lights for a jam. Confusion sets in each time, and I press the two buttons in every form I can think of.
Summary: Great little printer. My only dislike and warning is the usage of the ink cartridge. If you get this machine, set the printer preferences to "Draft" quality. It will still print with great quality and will make your ink last twice as long. I was doing a 300 letter mail out with my normal weekly usage and the low ink light came on after 1 week. Maybe it's the quality of the first cartridge that you receive with the printer??
Summary: The good parts: - Absolutely silent at idle, reasonably quiet in operation. - FAST! Its warm-up time is very quick, documents come across the network very quickly, and the print speed is wonderful. - Great main tray paper handling...no jams, and the duplexer works perfectly. - Easy to set up. The wizard on the setup disc worked very well, and it's nice to be able to point your browser at the printer to get a complete status readout without wasting a page printing it out.
Summary: My previous printer was a Lexmark e210, an entry level laser. Compared to that, I'm delighted with the e260dn. I love its speed (the warm-up time is so much shorter than the e210), I love the network connection so that all my family's desktops and laptops can use it, and I love the double sided printing. I leave it on 24/7. It uses 10 watts of electricity when idle - 50% more than a night light. I figure that's about $20/year. My complaints are with the paper feed.
