Summary: This printer is an excellent value for the price, it never stops working, it is ridiculously easy to set up, and it is fast as all hell. This printer will basically start shooting out paper as soon as you tell the computer to print. Using other printers is disappointing once you've gotten used to this one.
Summary: Forgot to update this...it works FINE now...seems that the character set malfunction had something to do with BAD DRIVERS...I scrubbed the hard drive, re-installed WinDOZE 7 and updated the DLL and then installed the Lexmark E260DN software package...EVERY THING NOW WORKS. Patience paid off thanks to my lovely wife Barbara Ann...I'm going to nominate her for sainthood...for sure. This is trully a WTF moment.
Summary: Simple black & white monochrome Laser Printer. USB connection for a single computer. Fast printing. Excellent print quality. Perfect for college papers and business reports. Reliable. Quality.
Summary: I am currently using a Lexmark E120n and a Lexmark E260d on our network. Both printers run flawlessly. Our network is running 4 PCs and a laptop with Windows XP OS and my server is a Linux based server. These printers were bought to replace a Brother printer that was similar to these two and one to replace a HP inkjet printer. The second Lexmark was bought because we liked the first one so well that all the print jobs were being sent to that printer.
Summary: The Lexmark E260D may be the worst printer I've ever purchased. The front door never closed securely (right after removing it from the box and installing, I couldn't get a test page to print until I figured out the light was indicating that the cover was ajar) and needed to be taped shut.
Summary: Worst network pinter I have ever used! Constantly loses network capabilities and is very noisey even brand new! 6.5 seconds warmup is a laugh! My second Lexark for a small office group and it will be the Last Lexmark !!!! Both were terrible. Cheap price & cheap printer!
Summary: Worked great for a couple of months then started to jam. After clearing the jame it's good for a few sheets then jams again. Tried cleaning it, different paper, premium brands, recylcled, it doesn't make a difference. I'm pulling the receipt and sending it back to where it came from.
