Summary: Initial cost and operation are good. However, the color cartridges are RIDICULOUSLY expensive. You can spend more on 4 color cartridges than you did on the initial cost of the printer. The cartridges do not yield what they should for their cost.
Summary: The first one I had was bad, then the second needed the developer replaced. I don't like that it tells you its out of ink and will not print any more even though the last copy looked fine. I want to decide when I need to replace the ink. I will not buy another Lexmark. It's a work printer.
Summary: I thought the printer was a all in one printer, with color, laser & wireless, but it just prints... is there another Lexmark printer that has all in one, & prints color, is laser, & wireless, please let me know, thanks
Summary: I haq a Brother printer for 6 years and loved it because it was so reliable...when it broke down I tried to get a Brother but none had the specs of this one. Plus, this one was on sale at various locations but cheapest at Newegg. Very quick delivery.
Pros: Very high quality 1200x1200 dpi prints, extremely fast first page out and subsequent pages. Tons of diagnostics on LCD screen or web browser. Very easy to setup for network. The toner cartridges are small and compact and easy to get to.
Cons: There are no cons, really. This printer does everything I want it to do, and does it extremely well.
warning - stops working entirely if any one cartridge runs out

Summary: If one of your colour toner cartridges runs out, the printer totally stops. Even if you have a full black cartridge and you only want to print black and white, you can't. Apparently this is in the user guide which of course no-one ever reads.
Summary: The printer doesn't work so well on your network when you assign it a duplicate IP address as another device on the network. And that, folks, is 100% my fault, not the printer's. Explains why it took 8 hours to print the test page I sent it. Once I resolved that, everything is fine.
Pros: Amazingly deep feature set for an inexpensive printer. I was really amazed at all the configurable options on this beast. Printing is quick, and text is razor sharp. Color prints are clean and clear, but you won't find any laser printer that compares to a high-quality ink jet when it comes to pri...
Cons: Drivers and utilities from Lexmark seem redundant and confusing; it's hard to figure out what to download from Lexmark, and when to use what files and utilities. Also, the printer driver defaults to duplex printing; if you want single-sided printing, you have to change it in the driver.
Summary: Only a week old now, but I am very impressed with the value of this printer. For the money (nicely discounted by Amazon), this is a terrific color laser printer, that performs as if it costs twice as much. For day-to-day printing, lasers are the better option over ink jets by far.
