Excerpt: I have used several different types/models of printers and have found this lexmark printer to be excellent for my work. I have only used this particular printer for a short time, although we have a different model in the office also, I think this is one model I should have been using in the beginning, it is good quality for the price and I am well pleased with its performance.
Summary: This printer is fast, the color looks great and does two-sided printing. As a previous reviewer mentioned it is not WiFi enabled, but we plugged it in to our router and now are fully printer capable over WiFi. The shipping was incredibly quick, the only down-side was the printer came FedEx Freight and since we were not home when it arrived, it got shipped to our closest freight location 40 min away.
Pros: Price was unbelievably low for a color laser with duplex capability. Lexmark is a good brand. Print quality is very good. Setup was very simple if just hooking it up to a single PC via USB.
Cons: Replacement toner cartridges are a expensive for this unit. Maybe that's why the price of the printer was so low. I would have given this printer 5 eggs instead of 4 if the replacement toner cartridges were more reasonably priced.
Summary: This is a quiet, and quick printer for a home, small office or small team. For larger work groups, I don't think this could handle the volume. The only issue I've had with it was a constant error of paper jams when no paper jammed. Upgrading to the latest firmware fixed that.

Summary: I’ve had my Lexmark printer for what I feel is a short time. In that period, I have printed only a handful of color print jobs due to the obscene cost of color toner. (Current cost is about $80 USD for each of the three colors, $240 USD total.) My Lexmark manual says that I can set my printer to print in True Black mode.

Summary: A few hiccups with this order. When I unpackaged it I was dismayed to see that toner was already installed and had leaked out in shipping. The spilt toner caused issues with printing, leaving streaks down the page. After calling tech support they told me to clean the lenses and the inside with a lint free dry cloth. Well it's back in action and streak free. Wifi hookup only works if you connect to a router or purchase the optional adapter.
Pros: System was heavy and felt very sturdy. Print quality was on par with other laser printers for both black and color. Printer was pretty quiet compared to the last HP Laser Jet, which lasted almost 20 years! I hope to get the same run out of this printer.
Cons: Physical setup was a breeze except for the network portion of it. The navigation buttons and screen do not have an option to manual set the IP address for the unit. This made things difficult because we have DHCP turned off on the network and we have a specific range to use for printers. We decided to use the cd and run the installation and it uses an auto discovery based on MAC/printer name. Once found, installed and configured ok after that. This is why the 1 egg de...
Excerpt: This printer is a great buy. It has higher resolution, a faster processor, and more native memory than its competitors. This means that it not only produces excellent text and graphics, it also prints photos in a way which rivals inkjets. The only downgrade in my score comes from the web GUI. While it is handy, it made every piece of our standard Windows 7 network lose internet access with each push of the print button.
