Summary: I decided to buy it because I needed one. when I won it and payed for it. the seller decide to back out of the deal. He gave me back the money BUT . It made me miss other good deals. I would not waste my time with that seller again.
Summary: This is a good, basic, very economical printer. My son uses it with his Apple laptop for his homework. It's quick to set up and refillable cartridges are sold for it on the web and at office supply chain stores. Printing on photographic paper can be costly and slow so I don't recommend it for that purpose. But for reports and student assignments, I give it a thumb's up.
Summary: I bought this printer when my old printer quit working. I needed to buy a printer that was compatable with an older operating system. This printer works well with my system. I was pleased to learn that this printer uses the same ink cartridges as my compaq printer. That was a plus since I had purchased a new black cartridge for my old printer.
Summary: It is my opinion this is a great piece of in home office equipment . Small enough to fit on desk or table yet big enough to handle in home printing needs . this is the second one I have owned . I have no complaints . It suits my needs . and would purchase the same product again when needed.
Summary: the printer itself was very easy to set up and use. the pictures and documents printed were great quality. the issue with this printer, which isnt with the printer but with the cartridges. i found for home and school use, the cartridges ran out of ink sooner than expected (or dried up in a matter of days of non use)for the price to replace the cartridges. great printer but not cartridges.
Summary: When I first got this printer I was very happy with it. It was a big upgrade from my old one. The printing speed is very quick for just text but if you have to do pictures it can take awhile. It goes through ink like mad (ink cartridge cost around $30). Setup on it was okay but we have had several problems with it not responding to the computer and having to reset it. If you use a printer a lot, this little guy is not for you. Good for high schoolers and their homework.
Excerpt: "Very low priced yet practical printer. Easy setup and use. New cartridges are expensive but the refill kits currently available easily refill the black cartridge, however as of yet I haven't been as successful with the colour cartridge. The print quality is quite amazing for such a low priced device and a new catridge should last the average user a considerable time. As I have indicated refilling the black catridge reduces costs significantly. ...
Excerpt: "...wouldn't be using too often. The Lexmark Z25 was just about the cheapest i could find during my search of 3 different PC shops. I have found it to be EXTREMELY easy to use - and i am not one of these PC buffs - and have even, on one occasion, had cause to ring the Lexmark help-number (for something which turned out to be my own foolish mistake) and found them to be very helpful. I don't do anything to maintain it at all; it's sitting on the edge ...
